Moon in the Morning?
Is that a moon I see, but how can that be?
I rubbed my eyes, ah, there’s the morning sun,
Whew, I thought I was seeing things, dear me!
I must keep my wits about me, or come undone.

I laugh at my mistake, and look up at the sky,
I must hold these moments while I may,
I watch the children as they walk by,
Thinking, it’s just another summer day.

I tell my friends at work that I saw the moon,
Whist they stare at me as if I was a crazy loon,
They'd change their minds if they saw it, too.
Which I immediately informed them, mind you!
