Day 29 - General: Market Definition/Narrative Voice Synopsis

Target Audience

         Ideally the story should appeal to adult audiences with interests in historical fiction. There is violence and sensitive or controversial topics that aren’t suitable for younger audiences.

Synopsis

         Sebastian Mercier is the crown prince of the Esout Empire. Many nobles in the court doubt his legitimacy, so he works hard to prove them wrong. Sebastian’s once idyllic life is shattered when he discovers his fiance’s treachery during negotiations with the Northern Coalition. He is then driven to take part in a series of battles around the continent to prove his worthiness for the imperial throne. In the end, the experience leaves Sebastian physically and emotionally exhausted. He decides to end the war and abandon his ill-fated quest in favor of a more quiet life.
