Meditations On The Soul's Journey Through Matter I A mountain rising high above the plain. We approach by a winding path that wanders hither an yon. From the path we catch only fleeting glimpses of the summit. II A city whose dancing lights sparkle in the midnight darkness, but whose streets are strewn with the bodies of dead cats beneath the noonday sun. III The warble of a sparrow coming from the throat of a vulture. IV Teh purr of a lion coming from the throat of a house cat. V The song of death emanating from the cathedral of life. VI The spirit journeys from reality to reality! Moving forward-- from conception to birth from birth to deat-- it enters the Mercy of God and dwells in the spiritual realm,. Where it is free of the physical, but never free of its choices. Poet's Note: ▶︎ |
