Reflections

Spirit invigorated
by reading the sacred scriptures
opportunities for creativity sing to my muse.

Forgiveness is a journal entry
acknowledging that survival means
remembering the past indiscretions honestly.

Time moves swiftly,
happiness is a spiritual characteristic
that must be defined on an individual level,
and success is acquiring knowledge of self.

Weep when shedding tears is cleansing,
every material item is transitory
even the body that houses my soul,
kindness must be extended even to one's self.
