Ideal Weekend

It's an ideal weekend:
The pigeons are cooing,
a gentle wind is blowing,
and the queen palms
are waving good-bye
to the clouds decorating
the beautiful blue sky.

What makes an ideal weekend? A prayer whispered at dawn. A fresh brewed carafe of strong black coffee. A cook morning breeze in late spring or early summer. Anticipation of and interaction with the members of my faith community. The sun peeking between May's gray-white clouds, while casting dark shadows across the black asphalt of Sunrise Avenue.

Devotional Services at
the Baha'i Center.

What else makes an ideal weekend? Numerous activities. An ideal weekend is a state of mind, and a personal definition. Different weekend activities and non-activities Placing all my problems and difficulties in Baha'u'llah's hands. Listening to my playlist on YouTube. Reading prayer and sacred scriptures. My ideal weekends flow across thirty days, as I move forward attempting to overcome procrastination.
