contains some of my present and past poetry. |
| The rain and I The rain on my lips And on my eyes Remembered happiness Renewed aspirations In my heart’s depths. The rain feels Cool and delicious Refreshes the dry lives And the tear-stained lids. The rain streams down the trees Washing the brown off their leaves. The white sky looks whiter The fragrant earth sweeter. My soul longs for succor From Someone stronger Who perchance may retrace My lost steps To the Paradise That dwells In my soul’s Recesses. |
