Between You and Me

I’ve never written a poem that I don’t later regret.
There’s always some problem that I see -
a word out of place, a rhyme too twee.
I regret this poem, and I’m not even done yet.
But I need four more lines, that’s a long sentence
to serve. Words enough to indict me,and room enough
for the carelessness that makes me stumble a bit at
