Begun on April 28, 2007, because I was tired of forgetting things. I place all of my really heavy thoughts here, and they are heavy. I avoid harsh language, but it will be there sometimes, and any links should be followed tentatively. May or may not blow your freaking mind.

9. I notice out of way places all the time. Always use to drive different routes to and fro and during work out of curiosity. I note the nooks and crannies at the university.

11. Northern Spy! Although, a local yellow delicious will suffice.

12. Mysteries, sci-fis, depends on my mood. To write poetry? Geology! No kidding ...

I write poetry and need to criticize folks occasionally for 'preachy-telling' when they ought to be 'showing'. Show it! I tell them and then assume your audience can figure it out. Or alternatively, write a sermon and bash them around the ears (but don't call it poetry). A pet peeve ... sorry.

Welcome to Blogville.

I jotted down some notes about the sky today that go in tomorrow's blog. I keep track of "images".

Your comment about hard labor reminded me about cutting shattercane out of the milo in Nemaha County, Kansas when I was 23. Good memory. Because I'm older, I'd find work like that far too exhausting, but ... it does tire one out in a good way.

My income last year was <$600. I get foodstamps. My mother pays for my phone. I can afford nothing. Still, I manage to keep up my blog, read and/or write every day. Go out for coffee (can't afford restaurants) ... etc. I manage.

If and when my disability comes though I'll be able to survive. I'm looking forward to poverty. I've been so much lower than that for so long ...

I've thought of spending a year moving to various parts of the country, writing a travelog and becoming inspired by the landscape, skyscape, humanscape ... I think it can be done.
