Blog the day away.
Look for a super way.
Or just drop a blurb.
Go and do something, who knows who will read and be able to identify with it.

BLOG, now that's what's for writing.

Come on let's go.
On an adventure, don't you know.
Making our way out the door,
Every day the world is full of the poor.

Oh there are also rich too,
Now there is even status-quo.

Looking at your shiny new Labroughni,
Etching memories of the perfect score.
Taking a moment at the street corner,
Seeing a homeless man, a mourner.

Gosh, his family has left him.
Only his trusty dog remains at his side.

"Come On Let's Go, you crazy light. He's coming my way.
Oh what can I possibly say to this man as wildly dressed with a dog gone astray?
My luck has been okay of late, why does this man stop at my window?
Everything I have I worked hard every day for. Must I give it away"?

Oh wait he's pointing at my rear tire.
No it can't be! My new car with a flat!

"Let me change that tire for you mister.
Every day I find at least one person to serve out here.
The shop of the road let me go, but I still find those to serve.
See, I'm a master mechanic, and got tired of having to cheat our customers.

Give me your keys to the trunk and the tire will be changed soon.
Only if you so desire you may compensate me for my time. I do this to serve Him by serving you."

Come On Let's Go, where will your adventure lead you?

I'm writing.
It's frightening.
Sometimes the dark side emerges,
One where the anger and darkness surges.

Just this past Sunday afternoon we were at an Italian restaurant close to our church. The interior was nice, the exterior was good too. One thing that stuck out to me was the ceiling.

I'm always looking for a different angle to snap with a camera. Well there is this one picture I took that made me think about the darkness and light. The Dark Cope that emerges from time-to-time is the result of things that happened to me so many years ago; literally decades ago.

I was in the midst of this when I started writing, thanks to my mom who would inundate me with reading material during the times I was sickly and missing all the fun outside.

So back to the photo that I took. Really don't want to bring too much back to the surface. The ceiling is different. Pipes running along. Lot's of darkness and points of light created by the bulbs interspersed throughout.

The darkness reminded me again of the Dark Cope that was present when i first started writing. I felt the same way at that moment as I did decades ago when it was going on. '

Then I thought about the topic of our sermon that morning and realized that I had to choose between the darkness that was and the light that is now. Isn't amazing the strangest things that causes one to stop and think?

Putting a cap on the Dark Cope works for awhile. There needs to be a point where you choose between the darkness and the light once and for all. I chose the Light years ago, and this past Sunday I once again chose to do the same. The Dark Cope is at rest. The light wins out and all praise goes to the Lord.

The photo is not available right now but soon it will be uploaded and maybe this will make a little more sense.

It's Saturday again.
I'm keeping watch on the Raffle.
Grateful for those who have been by.
Waiting to serve the next request.

Lord it's been 6 years for me here.
the site to me has become very dear.
The people, the leaders, the varied lives lived here.
They all make up a site that runs as smooth as a new born deer.

The Dallas Cowboys are out of the playoffs.
It's sad but I'm grateful for the way they played.
Never giving up, never quitting, never walking away.
Traits I seek to echo in the remaining days of 2015.

01-15-2015 is my anniversary date here in the WdC.
In the years I have been here a few things have stood out.
1. Generosity is huge here. Giving to others is a staple on the WdC.
2. Encouragement and helpful reviews are the norm.
3. Receiving help from so many groups and even the leaders of this find site have instilled in me the onus to give back at every chance I have.
Here is the re-launch of Copenator's Crew.
Serving Him, by serving you.

Yesterday it was all about Blech.
Today it's about what the heck.
I found a review in my email of a poem I wrote.
Featured in Poetry Newsletter 12-24-14.
It's about a storm that was brewing even as I was writing and publishing it.
Thankful for the exposure!
Thankful for the opportunity to add to the list of featured venues.
Grateful for the WdC.
What the heck!
It's all about thanksgiving and gratefulness today.

Its Christmas eve.
My name is Steve.
Went to Cracker Barrell,
They had apparel.

Breakfast was good,
Service was not so much.
Our annual tradition food.
Now there's extra to munch.

Extra coffee and Rhondas happy
Energy to start baking, yummy.
Molasses you know its sappy,
But hey its good in the tummy.

Night night in the day day.
Peace and grace to one and all.
Tomorrow its Jesus' birthday,
And our 27th anniversary

The year is almost over,

The 2014 calendar we can cover.

Christmas time is oh so near,

In nine days in will be here.

On that day in nineteen-hundred and eighty-seven,

The Copes as you know us were born, on a cold rainy day.

Th3 pastor threw rice down Rhonda's blouse,

The photographer was our choir director and wrestling fan too.

Patsy W, sure knew her way around the leading of song,

And another of her gifts was the camera lens so long.

Memories of Rhonda singing a solo throughout Six Flags,

As we did a Christmas cantata at the fountains.

The six flags waving in the air,

Smell of food galore tickling the nose hairs.

Watching the puppetry of Scrooge,

Making people laugh, cry, and other things too.

Rhonda looking so beautiful then and now even more so.

Her sense of fashion, style, comportment, and laughter. Ho, ho, ho!

A time in my life when I felt so out of sorts,

Came into focus with the church, Rhonda, and the wrestling sport.

Rhonda's favorite wrestler; Chris Adams; hanging out after matches at the Sportatorium,

Congratulating us on our engagement night, so many years ago. Another memory of glee!

Christmas time often bringing smiles and feelings of glee,

Families opening the presents around the Christmas tree.

Down the road one hears the screams of a domestic spat,

Christmas time marred by those at odds and out of peace, so sad.

Upon the laps of so many Santa's helpers the kids have sat.

Even I have memories of such a time as that.

Another memory that is a real dream come true.

The SXSW event in which I saw my star Amanda Marsh,

With Rhonda at my side and a Sixth Street tableau.

Even with being kinda out of it with hyperglycemia, it was a highlight of my life I'm grateful came to life.

Today I want for Christmas world peace.

It's may sound like a corny and impossible plea.

But with God all things are possible, don't you see?

And for that reason this poetry corner closes with wishes of world, national, state, city, and domestic peace.
