| Phone is so hot I can't keep it charged. It goes down if I'm on it for minutes. Frustrated because I can't really communicate with Rhonda except by phone since I can't visit her in the hospital. I'm like a fish out of water without Rhonda Cope around but she's really sick and being in the hospital is where she needs to be. Praying they can figure out what's up and get a handle on the fluid that's built up in her lungs, heart, and extremities. Still blows my mind that we were there for an ablation and suddenly she's in the ER for signs of a stroke and then they found the fluid in her lungs, later in the heart and extremities. Oh Lord You do work in mysterious ways. Had that ablation not been scheduled we would have never been in Fort Worth on that day. I'm reminded of God's wondrous works when I see doctors, nurses, techs, and even others who tend to the sick when they visit a hospital, er, clinic, or other means of help. They are heroes! |

| I can't see an end to this Lord. Give me Your vision as mine is blurred. It is not my desire to give in, Very honestly I've learned to win. Entering into Your courts with praise. Unafraid is something I've been before. Please Lord remind me of that time of no fear. I GIVE UP all fear Lord, even when I can't see the answer to so many things assailing my senses. | Something is on my mind. I can't tell just what kind. It's like a longing to hear, From the King of kings, and standing with open ears. In anticipation and expectation, All distractions must be turned down. Given over to the One who truly knows, What lies ahead today, tomorrow, and beyond. Even as I write this the attention turns to Him. Help is on the way, from a power that outstrips all circumstances, time frames, and windows. Things that look insurmountable with my eyes, Are now becoming dimmer and less daunting. TVS and games are set aside as the light rises. The Light of the world that is spoken of in John 1:6-7. The One who bore our sins on the cross. Is on the throne at the right hand of God, interceding for you, me, Rhonda, Steve and all. I see now it's upon Him we must wait and call. Can you feel it beloved as you read this? Can you feel what burdens you bear easing? Can you see in your heart, mind and soul, The Lord Jesus interceding for your needs. Can you feel peace returning where dis-ease once dwelled? Something is on my mind, I now see just what kind. The presence of the Lord is in this place, He is taking over troubling spaces. The Light of the World is shining through! Can you feel it beloved? That Love that knows your needs. | #stevejoggingforJesus Lord today I thank You for the gift of running. No miles or time recorded as the run week of 7-15/21 begins. A wave offering to You Lord lain at the foot of the cross. Lord I pray for the staff, residents, and future residents here at the Ridge. Pray for health, provision, and peace in the families and among the community as a whole. Lord I pray for the mechanisms and machinery that keeps this place maintained and for the extra protection of maintenance as they go about their day by day service requests. I especially pray in earnest Lord for a swift resolution to the Coronavirus that is still active at this time. You are the Great I Am and it's in Jesus name I pray. Amen and amen. |
| Lord thank You for still being in control. This virus does still roll. Yet Your hand is still at work. Medical procedures are needed at every turn. Only to be cancelled by administrators. State's, cities and towns are back in lockdown. But You oh Lord are working to turn things around. Our earthly eyes may not see what You're doing Lord, but it's true You are the bringer of hope. Your Word brings this before our eyes. The hope that surpasses all our trials and tribulations. Virus or other obstacle that stands in our way shall be overcome because there is still hope! Here and now the world is in turmoil. Oh things seem bleak and unsurmountable. Pleased are our hearts as we know He's here. Every trouble that comes along is fleeting. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches riches of his mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. | I want to thank You Lord for being with us. I know oftentimes we make such a fuss. With a pandemic and civil unrest it all seems lost. But then You remind us at just the right time, that You found we who once were so lost. Your salvation, through Your Son Jesus, is evidence that You are committed to Your creation. We follow Your lead and find the relief that we need when we feel so battered and bruised. Our nation is at a crossroads. I pray we will continue to follow You through this trying time. Teach us the lessons we must learn, as we attempt to return to normal soon and very soon. Lives may never be the same after this time is past. But through it all, help us to take hope in the promise that You will never leave or forsake us. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen. |

In the little time taken to listen in, calm comes along. Nearer to the heart of God you are drawn, Javin, the author and perfecter of our faith. Your name an acrostic Javin, is a lesson in finding your peace and calm throughout the day. Javin, from Javan, a son of Noah, in the Hebrew language means "clay"/"example". Your Scripture verse is found in the book of Deuteronomy. "Assemble the people to Me, that I may let them hear My words so they . . . may teach their children." (4:10) |
| Sometimes I want to curl up in a ball. But then I hear someone call. And then I roll out of the world within? Into the world that makes me want to give in. Troubles, perils, unrest all around us. A virus that just won't die surrounds us. Congress can't come to a bipartisan draw, And we the people are on our last straw. I'm reminded that there is light on the horizon. That there is soon an end of this season. Then something out of nowhere strikes again. Fueling my resolve to stand to His holy gain. Then I pray in Jesus mighty name to heal us, To touch us with His healing balm of Gilead. One family after another seemingly rising, out of the refining fires, and into hope arising.
