Yesterday, I got some unsettling news. I found out that a long time staff member at work was going into semi-retirement and it was going to be her last day. I also found out that we lost a job contract. The company who provided this job decided to go to another company because it offered more money. I really enjoyed working on this job, now it is gone. I woke up ill today. My boyfriend called me early because he's going to see "King Kong" tonight. There was another terrorist attack, this time in London, England. Four individuals are confirmed dead, 20 injured. |

| Yesterday, I met our new minister for the first time. He's a very nice guy. He's also an avid sports fan. Also, I didn't miss out on the BBQ chicken dinner. There were plenty of tickets left. My fiancé was in Toronto yesterday for a film shoot. He phoned me last night and told me that everything went well. Today, I'm just going to watch a lot of baseball. It is Memorial Day in the U.S. |
| I was planning on going to my church's garage sale this morning. I took one look outside my bedroom window this morning and saw it was rainy. I told my sister I'm not going anywhere today. I don't want to get my new scooter wet. No way. I just hope there's still tickets left for the BBQ chicken dinner. It'll be a shame if my sister and I missed out this year. |
| I watched a great baseball game this afternoon between the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs. The Reds won 6-5. That's basically all I did today. |
| Went to my fiancé's yesterday. Spent some quality time with him. Had dinner there. The chicken was a bit spicy, but okay. Just going to relax today. |

| Victoria Day Weekend for me was a quiet one. I was still recovering from the flu. Today, I did some shopping. For now on, I'm getting my snacks at Dollarama. It is cheaper. I then went to McDonald's and tried their new fish 'n chips. It is pretty good. |
| It was hell on earth for me the last three days. I caught the stomach bug earlier this week. I'm still a bit weak, but I'm getting my appetite back a bit. I went to the store this afternoon. It was a beautiful day. |
