Basically, I'll still go where the stomach leads me (and probably protagonists of my novel series universe), but I'll also – as the description indicates – throw in German (Alpine) Yums my (grand)parents used to cook when I was a kid.
Those look so delicious!!! I think the "sun" pattern looks beautiful on the plate. Grab one and dip, I say! Thank you for sharing the recipe. I love lentils. Thanks for tagging me!
I don't wanna brag, but it also tasted delicious, darn delicious even.
My friends thought the same, even asked if I got the pretzel half-prized at the bakery as while making it something didn't go round (it looks yummy but not as perfect as one made by a professional baker). And they're German, means they don't dish out such easily.... which was the BIGGEST compliment.
They also only believed me that i made it after I showed them photos of my kitchen while making it.
That is a labor of love! You go girl. It sounds delicious. Pretzels that are stuffed with all the good stuff and iced at the end. Or rather, icing added at the end. It sure makes quite a bit of dessert.

Waffles are SO versatile... they don't need to be sugar bombs, that's the great thing about them. And they're so easily made!
But, please, don't substitute quark, cheese, and other dairy. The natural product is the best. Full-fat satesquickly and efficiently. NO munchies, no hangry. (Remember my "difficulty" with North American bread? The same applies to dairy.)
And absolutely never opt for light / fat-reduced products as the food industry substitutes the removed fat with sugar.
VERY inconvenient truths, I know, BUT vital for your health.
I've been on a Belgian waffle kick. So, I'm definitely adding this to my list. I need to pick up the cheeses. I'll have to get a quark cheese substitute. I may be able to get it at Everman's, but don't want to drive across town 🤣

I found the answer in Sabrina Ghayour's Persiana Easy , in the Snack Section.
Why a Turkish recipe in a Persian (= Iranian) cookbook? Well, for the geographically challenged , they're neighboring countries .
Also the recipe suited me as I'... [Read more]
