A month-long novel-planning challenge. NaNoWriMo'ers welcome! 2026 sign-ups open Sept 1st. |
I just realized that, like last year, I got protagonist and antagonist mixed up. I will be changing the subject of the assignments to the correct terminology. It will not be in the assigned order but the ideas will be there. In doing so, I willingly forfeit any contest winnings due to not following the rules of the contest. I apologize for any confusion caused by my own confusion.
Thank you for understanding.
I been there before swapped two characters personality profiles once, turned a perfect child into a miniature Deadpool
Now to put this in perspective, if this is the worst mistake you EVER make in your life, all is not lost. Remember - mea culpa. You only have a few more assignments to get to the end. Hang in there! 2023 Quill Finalist. 2023 Quill Nominee. Quill Finalist Logo 2022. Quill Nominee Signature 2022 Preferred Author
It's okay. There are many examples where the two can be mixed up in the real world, and then there are plenty of ways such a story like that could be pretty compelling because of that Keep up the good work, Anders
You very well might be the antagonist in someone else's story. Things happen!

For the record, you don't break any rules by submitting a protagonist background story to contest round 1 because it turns out to actually be an antagonist story. That's the whole point of the prep. Everything can change from the beginning of the month to the end of the month. By the end of the month, you might even have a completely different story You don't have to rescind any entries because of changes to your plot, characters, or anything else about your story.
Thank you. I appreciate that
