I agree with everyone on this, but I tend to lean towards Kat's suggestion work out how you would like the ending to turn out. You have the start and some of the middle. Work on the ending and take it from there. You could also make it have the two optional ways to go for the reader. It would be hard but it can be manageable. There are books out there that have done exactly that.
