How much does a sadde weigh? (Probably an English saddle)

Mainly, I need to decide if my hero wants to carry the saddle or leave it. He slept using the saddle as a pillow. His horse was stolen as he slept. He plans on getting it back, but would he want to carry the saddle all day long?
