I know. We have done this one before, but it has been a while and this is the week of Kwanzaa, so we shall repeat in honor of that observance. The Kwansaba is an African-American verse form invented in 1995 by Eugene B Redmond, East St. Louis Poet Laureate and professor of English at Southern Illinois University-East St. Louis to honor the seven principles of Kwanzaa: 1.Unity, family 2.Self Determination 3.Work Collectively 4. Cooperative economics 5.Purpose 6.Creativity 7.Faith The poem consists of seven lines with seven words in each line and no word having more than seven letters.
