What do you think of genetic testing?
I think genetic testing is necessary. There are over 2000 genetic tests available and are offered for many different reasons.

Is it good or bad for us? What advantages and disadvantages do you believe genetic testing offers?
I think genetic testing is a good thing because it provides answers to questions related to diseases, prenatal issues, etc. Well, not always, but most of the time.

The only disadvantage I can think of is the possible miscarriage from an amniocentesis .

Is it something better left alone? Or could it be the key to unlocking answers?
For me, I believe genetic testing is imperative. If you have issues related to genetics, you naturally want to know why. Genetic testing can give you those answers.

Would you or have you undergone genetic testing?
I have undergone genetic testing (amniocentesis) due to issues I had with my first pregnancy. Ultrasound indicated issues with the baby and genetic testing provided the reasons behind those problems. I've written about here on WDC, although I can't find it. I think I removed it from my portfolio. But here's a very short and sweet recount: "Invalid Item"
