| I am using the heroās journey to outline my story, and at the part where he was supposed to receive supernatural aid, I originally had the time traveler give him an electronic tablet with his diary in it. This wouldāve complicated things for me as a writer, because I donāt want the protagonist to have access to certain types of knowledge about his destiny until the timing is right. Now, I have the military officer from the future give both of them transponders so they can contact him if there are problems. This is much better as the object of supernatural aid. This works out much better for me! |

| I I think it's because I've always been talkative. I got in trouble for it all the time as a kid. When I'm brainstorming, and the words are just flying out of my fingers (or mouth, if I'm dictating), and nobody is interrupting me, I'm in my happy place. EDIT: D'oh, this was an outline revision day. I just got so excited about brainstorming that my brain shut off for a sec. |
