I am honored and humbled that Unknown Dude has chosen me to continue this story in his place. I will do all I can to continue the high standards of quality that this story deserves. I will also heed his advice on what must be changed in case I miss something along the way.
When the Mason family is contacted by a friend who needs test subjects for a body swap experiment, their financial situation leads them to accept the offer, picking the two subjects at random. The son, David, is selected along with another member of his family, and the two swap bodies, permanently. They must now adjust to their new lives, for better or worse.
Character descriptions :
See the "Character profiles" section, accessible from the first chapter of the story.
Do not use options marked as <Locked>.
Using good grammar, syntax and spelling is mandatory.
Avoiding plot holes and inconsistencies is also mandatory. To avoid these, please use the "Body swapping rules" and "Character profiles", accessible from the first chapter.
The story is written in first person, and you must always indicate whose point of view is used after every POV change.
No one-sentence long "more choices" chapters. To avoid this, there will be a minimum of 1000 characters by chapter.
Failure to follow these rules will result in deletion.
Note to writers :
If you wish to keep creative control over a thread of your creation, just mark options you wish to use with <Locked>. Any chapter written on a <Locked> option by a different writer will be deleted, regardless of quality or adherence to the other rules. I will remove the <Locked> tag from an option as soon as it is used by the author who reserved it.
Note that I may occasionally edit chapters without asking for permission. I may do so in order to correct grammar, spelling or syntax mistakes, or to change the formatting to make it more in line with the rest of the interactive. I will never, however, alter events or dialogue: my edits are only on a technical level.
