This choice: An overweight woman desperate to find love • Go Back...Chapter #6Mike is Overweight Woman Desperate to Find Love by: Cardio   Denise walked into the office and gave a bit of a sad sigh. For instead of her handsome loving husband sitting in front of a word document typing away was a large woman looking at different hair styles on image searches. The woman turned after hearing Denise and said, "Oh good, your back, what do you think looks better on me? The long shoulder length look or do I look better with a pixie cut?" The woman said as her hair magically changed to the hair styles she describes.
"I don't know Mike, the long hair I'd say, but...I don't mean to insult you, but will it make any difference?"
The overweight woman looked down at this and said, "Probably not. I don't know. It's just nothing I've done works." You see this overweight woman sitting in Mike the author's seat was in fact Mike using the shapeshifting medallion for research purposes. Before he found the medallion Mike was a barely scraping by romance author who only kept writing because of the encouragement of his loving wife Denise. However after they discovered the medallion Mike's writing got a whole new layer of depth. He started by shapeshifting into men of different age and race and writing from the perspective, but when he became more adventurous and tried writing from a woman's perspective his writing not only got even better but his books started selling well to the female demographic. But his last book which had featured a smoking hot woman in her mid twenties for the 4th straight time didn't sell as well as he'd hoped Mike decided to challenge himself and try to write from the perspective of someone who might feel underrepresented in the genre, the overweight.
So Mike had transformed himself into 'Madison', a 275 pound 5'4" woman in her early 30s and planned to hit the town and find love and inspiration to write about. This started over a month ago. And every weekend and even some weekdays Mike would turn into Madison and hit the towns...and strike out every single time. It turns out when Mike turned into a traditionally hot woman or man it was a lot easier to get some action.
Denise saw her husband was feeling down and put her arm around him, "Mike, I know you're trying to challenge yourself, but what you're doing now, it's not making you happy. And it's not working."
"I know it isn't, but as sad as it sounds, I don't know what to do besides go out to bars and try to make things happen and it always worked because I had the medallion to become anyone's dream girl or guy. Now I'm..." Mike looked at his significant flab, "now I'm not. And I honestly don't know what to do about. I'm out of ideas. Maybe Madison should try internet dating?"
"No, we can't do something like that in case some creep starts to stalk you and the house. But there's one other thing you could do that you haven't tried yet, and I'm a little offended you haven't tried."
Mike looked confused, "What's that?"
"Ask me, duh. I want 'Madison' to get laid almost as much as you. I hate seeing you struggle and I want to help you out."
"Wow, Denise thanks, you're the best. I'm sorry I didn't ask for help I just...think what I do is a little... I don't know...sleazy and I didn't want to drag you in."
Denise kissed her husband on his flabby face. "You've seen what I can do with that medallion. I know sleaze. But what you're doing is closer to genuine than sleazy so don't think of yourself like that. Writing is a noble profession, you say so yourself."
"Thanks, I needed to hear that, so what is your idea? How can you help 'Madison' find love?"  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
