"I truly want to believe that," Evelyn replied, "I hope he's alive and I see him again. He was my true love."

Meanwhile, Hoss, April, Peter, and Hudson were in a mess hall eating dinner. As they ate, Peter seemed detached and to himself. he was thinking about the voice he had heard and wondered where it had come from. "Did the phoenix talk to me?" Peter wondered, "It couldn't have, it doesn't have lips to properly speak. Besides the voice was in my head. Unless the phoenix could use telepathy."

"What's wrong Peter?" April asked, "You seem distant."

"Something strange happened to me when I was in the room with the phoenix," Peter informed them.

"Yeah, you were too kind to that heartless monster," Hoss commented.

"I heard a voice speak inside my head," Peter told his friends and partners.

"You heard a voice?" Hudson questioned.

"It was a girl's voice sounding like it was sixteen years old. It pleaded for help and wanted me you help them," Peter informed them.

"Who's them?" April questioned.

"The voice exact words were 'help us'. I think it might have been the phoenix talking to me through telepathy," Peter told.

"That sounds like the craziest... Hudson started.

However, Peter interrupted, "What of this phoenix isn't as animal like as we think. What it has the same intelligence as a human and could us telepathy to speak? If it's true for on mythical beast, it might be true for others."

"If this monster is intelligent, then why would it speak to you?" Hudson asked.

"Maybe it was because you were kind to it," April suggested.

"Or you're hearing what you want to hear," Hoss suggested, "You love this monsters so much, you want to them to have intelligence. Even if they didn't have intelligence, which I doubt, that phoenix would just be tricking you like that boy. She and the boy seemed like they really cared about each other. Yet, the phoenix gobbled the boy up like it was nothing."

"Please don't tell anyone about what I've heard," Peter asked of the others, "Not until I figure out the truth."

The others nodded and agreed to not reveal what Peter had heard to anyone. April noticed Albert and Nickolai in the mess hall gathering loads of food on carts. Most of the food was fresh and raw dead animals. "I thought Albert and Nickolai were on a mission," April commented.

The others noticed the two and replied, "I guess they got back sooner than expected, or their contract was canceled.

Albert and Hoss fed the creatures in each cell block. It was also the first time Nickolai helped Albert. Eventually, they got to Cell Bock E. As they entered, Nickolai commented, "Why are most of the creatures in this cell block?"

"I don't know," Albert answered, "You'd have to ask the higher ups."

Albert picked up a dead rabbit meat on a plate and put it through the food door for the harpy while Nickolai got the food for the siren. Nickolai smelled the meat and asked, "Damn, what is this shit?"

"It's some of Lambda team," Albert told Nickolai, "This siren seems to like human meat more than anything else."

"Damn monster," Nickolai said as he shoved his hand through the door to give the food.

"Nickolai, not that far," Albert warned, but the siren grabbed Nickolai's arm. Albert rusted over to the glass and tried to help pull Nickolai out, but the siren's grip was strong. "Stop!" Albert ordered, "You have your food, Circe."

The siren was stunned and let go of Nickolai. Nickolai looked at Albert and asked, "What did you call that monster? You named it?

"No, I didn't name it," Albert told his partner, "I don't know where I got that name from."

Albert looked to the dridder and saw that it still had enough prey in its web. So, Albert feed the minotaur. Since the minotaur was chained to the ground, Albert had to go in the cell to get close enough to feed him. Once that was finished, they moved on to the next two. To feed the dragon, they had to give it an entire deer. Albert tossed the deer in while Nickolai opened the door and closed it. Albert looked to the basilisk. "Severus still has food in his stomach. Snakes digest their prey slowly," Albert informed Nickolai.

"How do you know that he's still full, and why did you call his Severus?" Nickolai questioned.

"I don't know," Albert answered, "For some reason I feel as though that's his name. I don't know what's going on."

When they approached the phoenix and kitsune...
