Bonding Process

"You know my name and the otthherss' namesss, becaussse I know the namesss," Severus answered.

Albert had no idea what to say or how to reply. He had heard the voice clear inside his head, and it had come from the basilisk, at least, that's what his mind said. There was a long moment of verbal silence, but it wasn't silent for the telepathic thoughts of the creatures. Many were whispering to each other and even though they weren't directed to Albert, Albert could hear them due to the telepathy he had. Now, telepathic speaking sounded just like verbal talk to him and he could hear every thought unless it was the thoughts were to themselves.

This was strange for Albert and he as overwhelmed by the telepathic speaking. He was becoming confused, and his headache was coming back. Eventually, Albert asked, "So, all of you can use telepathy? Is that what I'm hearing?"

"Keep quiet," Daichi ordered the others, "This human is having headaches because of you speaking at once. He needs to get used to his new ability."

There was much less speaking and Albert found it easier to concentrate. "To anssswer your quessstion," Severus answered, "Weee can all ussse Telepathhhy. All magical creaturesss can."

"Can any of you speak?" Albert asked.

"Of course we can!" Dracus growled.

"What Dracus means is that we can all speak our own tongues, but some of us aren't born with the right vocal chords of the right mouth pieces for human speech," Daichi explained, "The only ones that can actually speak human languages are Circe, Debra, Evelyn, and I. The rest of us have to resort to telepathy to speak." Daichi didn't mention Claz at all, because he felt Claz should still be kept a secrete.

"The Siren, dridder, werewolf, and you," Albert said making sure he got the creature's names correctly. When Severus and the others nodded, Albert questioned, "Why do I know all of your names? You said I knew them because you knew them, why is that?"

"Weee believvve that an unffforssseen sssside efffffect issss occurring. Weee thhhhink weee're beeeing bonded," Severus told Albert.

"Bonded? What the hell does that mean?" Albert questioned.

"I meanssss... well... ummm...." Severus struggled to find a way to explain it to Albert, but it was hard for him to do so when he didn't undertstand it completely himself. "Daichhhhi, can you exxxxplain it?" Severus asked.

Albert looked at the kitsune who was beside Severus's cage. "Bonding it hard to explain," Daichi tried to explain to Albert, "Usually, it happens due to a certain spell, or when a human becomes extremely good friends with a magical creature. In a bond, the human and creature gain abilities that the other has. For instance, you are gaining Severus's abilities such as the stone gaze and telepathy. Also, the two bond mates begin to share each others thoughts, pain, and lifespan."

"Sssso, ssssinccce I can livvve hundredsss of yearsss, sssso will Albert?" Servus asked.

"That's correct," Daichi answered, "That is also why Albert is gaining your knowledge, Severus. You too will gain Albert's knowledge as well."

"What kind of knowledge?" Albert questioned.

"Everything," Daichi explained.

Albert felt violated knowing that the basilisk would learn everything about him. "What if I don't want this to happen?" Albert asked.

"Unfortunately, the process can not be stopped when it is started," Daichi explained, "No matter how much you or Severus don't want it to happen."

Albert placed his back against the glass front wall of Aurora's cage. He then slide down on his butt and stared at nothing. "Will this happen to Nickolai as well?" Albert asked.

"It better not!" Torus yelled, "I'd rather die than be bonded with a human!"

"It might, we're not entirely sure how it is happening," Daichi infromed Albert without paying attention to Torus.
