So, you are from the planet known as Char. What are you?
Chargon: Dragon-like race of beings. A wide variaty of types, from those who breath fire, to those who breath poison gas, in a wide variaty of colorations. Meat-eaters. Used to capture Charzons to be livestock, and all vilages have their own population, with each chargon having their own personal charzons. They don't normaly wear much in the way of clothing. Also, there is easily a dozen female chargons to each individual male chargon, due to the fact that female chargons can only have one male offspring in their lives, which is why males tend to take multiple mates, to increase the chances of having multiple sons. Leadership of each group is, usually, given to the eldest son of the current chieftian, though the chargon must prove himself worthy of recieving it, otherwise leadership could fall to one of his uncles, older male cousins, or younger half brothers, all of which must prove themselves capable of doing the job. *Note, while the males may be leaders in name, they tend to defer to their mates when it comes to certain matters, and get advice from them.*
Charzon: Human-like race of beings. Tend to be mostly omniverous, eating fruit or tubers for the most part, with some meat added to their diets. Despite being on the bottom of the food-chain, and being an important part of a Chargon's diet, getting eaten is not a real danger for their species, as they can reform their body within a few hours, with the old one losing it's memory, dying, and becoming food for the predator's body to extract nutrition from. In fact, it was because of this ability that Chargons set out to capture as many as they could, severl millenia ago. After all, seeing as to how they could reform their bodies, it wasn't like a chargon had to get a new one everytime they ate one. Of course, since they are sentiant beings, just like chargons, the charzons started to make plans for escape attempts, with at least one of the group being the one who watched as the rest made their attempt, so that they could imform others as to what did, or didn't, work. Tend to be tattooed in a manner that helps camoflauge them from wild predators, yet stands out to a chargon. They are also marked for various things, such as which vilage that they are from, which family owns them, marks dictating how many times that they have had succesful matings with other charzons, if they have ever escaped, or if they had previous owners.
Common information: The charzons that are better tasting tend to be owned by chargons of higher ranking in society. However, common chargons can improve the taste of their charzons by following a few things, such as being gentle with them, giving them proper food, and basically treating them as if they were a part of the family, in a manner of speaking. In fact, to improve the quality of the charzons, and to reduce the chances of them just leaving the vilage, especially by escaping, laws were passed to protect them from abusive owners, with heavy punishments being given for doing so, like losing their personal charzons, and potentially being exiled. Also, unless they are given premission to do so, a chargon cannot eat a charzon owned by another, especially those owned by the cheftain's family. Of course, when it comes to breeding charzons, if owned by seperate chargons, fees are to be paid to the owner of the male for services rendered, the fee increasing especially when the owner is very high in sociaty. When it comes to deplomacy between seperate groups of chargons, the leaders tend to swap a daughter or two, along with the daughter's personal charzons, who are then to be mates with the eldest son of the other cheftain, with their charzons being allowed to mate with those of the other family, to mantain either a truce or an alliance. When it comes to war however, all males of fighting age, including the cheftain's eldest son, take part in the fighting. In fact, if the leader's eldest son can prove himself to be a capable leader in battle, chances are that he may get to lead the group when it comes time for the old leader to step down, whether from injury, old age, sickness, or, in rare cases, death, though most are still alive when they pass the title over to someone else, usually a male family member. *Note, while they may not be leaders themselves, the other male relations tend to be advisors to the cheftain, and must prove themselves capable of leading themselves, should something happen, and the eldest son of the cheftain in unworthy to take up the role of leadership, or if a temperary leader is needed, like if the current one is recovering from a sickness or an injury that will not prevent him from doing his duties when he recovers.*
The relationships between the two species tends to vary between something like farmer and livestock, to master and servant, to friends, and to, on occasion, lovers, though the two are unable to have children with the other, and this tends to be on the hush-hush, especially when the Chargon is the cheftain's heir, and the charzon is their personal property.
Also, where you find one, chances are that you will find the other nearby.
So, which Char are you?
