You dash into the other room.
"Father!" you shout, skidding to a halt.
"Raven, you do NOT interrupt adults!"
Both adults were glaring at you. Especially James' father. What a jerk.
"Father, but-"
"Raven..." he warns.
"It's not true," you shout."I didn't lay a finger, much less a fist, on James, but congrats to the person who did! That horrid boy tried to bug me when I was doing my chores! I just ignored him and he must have gotten mad and-"
"Raven! That's ENOUGH!!" father yelled.

You sigh. When he's in one of these moods, there's usually nothing you can do.

"Get out," father said softly under his breath.
"Excuse me?" said Sir Darren.
You laugh inwardly to yourself.

Now, my daughter is a mere girl, yes, so if you admit that your son, the son of a traveling knight, a knight of the KING, can be beat up by a mere girl, I'm sure that there are many people you would like me to tell. Aren't there?"
You caugh to cover up your laughs. Sir Darren huffed and stood up to leave.
"I am sorry to waste your time, Good day," Sir Darren said coolly.
"Good day, Sir Darren," your father said just as coolly.
Sir Darren stood and left.
Your father turned to you.
"Raven..."
