Chapter #7

The men (reserved).

    by: Unknown
(You, Sava, Guard (for this chapter only) and Satsuki)

The guard led Sava towards the group of people that was waiting near the tent that housed the other slaves that would be sold, which was far from the crowd, so as to avoid thievery. Once they got there, the leader of the group took of the hood that covered his head and the upper part of the shoulder part of the armor he was wearing. Sava noticed that the armor was white in color, except for the borders of each piece of said armor, which were black. Sava then looked at the man himself. He was quite young, a teenager probably. He had big eyes that were sapphire blue in color. She found that odd because it was a very rare color of eyes. He also had short black hair that ended in what looked like three spiked inverted waves on the front side of his head. All of the tips pointed left. The next thing she noticed was that, if the armors size and shape were any indicators, his body was quite well built. She also noticed the sword and two medium sized bags he had attached to his armors belt. This mas was most likely from royalty. When the guard was in front of him, he extended his hand to claim the bidden value.

"The money, please, sir. I can only hand it to you after I receive the accorded sum. ", the guard said, smiling with malice, while looking at Sava. He knew that she hated being called "it".

The man, Sava noticed, didn't looked amused at all. Heck, if she had to guess, she'd say that he was angered by the guards comment. Although she could be wrong, since he tried to keep as serious as possible.

"Of course. I understand.", he said in a cold voice that sent shivers down both, the guards and Sava's spines.

He then grabbed the two bags.

"Here you go, guard. Thank you for bringing HER to me."

Had he called her "her"? Maybe she was right and he indeed was angered at what the guard had said?

"N-no sir, I'm the one w-who should be thankful."

The guard was obviously afraid of the tone in the young man's voice. Yet, he questioned him."

"S-sir. I may be out of place by saying this but, this is a dragon, it does not have feelings nor the capacity to think or act in a rational way. So, I think it would be wiser to call this thing an "it"."

Sava was outraged by what this guard was saying. And, had the collar allowed it, she would be also enraged and would have killed the guard already. But, to her surprise, the man who had bought her punched the guard's face and sent him a few good meters away. If Sava had to guess, it was somewhere between 50 to 60 meters. When the guard landed, a *CRACK* sound was head, meaning that something had broken. The guard, who now was bleeding, looked in shock, confusion and fear upon the man that was standing in front of him.

"How dare you."

Said the young man in a tone that surprised the guard and Sava. For it carried a lot or anger on it, and the glare he was giving the guard was so intense that Sava felt like he was staring at the guard's very soul.

"How dare you speak of HER like that! SHE is a sentient being, like you, me and everyone else in this or any other place. SHE CAN feel and SHE CAN think rationally. Hell, she can think more rationally that many humans here! Dragons are wise and beautiful creatures and should be treated with respect! Also, she is mine now. And if you talk like that about HER again, you'll be dead before you can blink, was I clear?", said the young man loudly, but not loud enough to alert the other people.

The guard couldn't answer. He was trying to process the situation. But the man was loosing his patience.

"I asked, WAS, I, CLEAR?"

This time, the guard answered.

"Y-yes, sir. Y-you couldn't have been more clear. T-then, excuse me."

The guard the began to half walk, half crawl back to his post. The man then turned to Sava. Surprisingly though, he was calm and smiling in a kind way.

"I apologize for this scene.", he said getting closer, until he was standing in front of Sava. "My name is Leon." he said, bowing. "What is yours, miss?"

*Miss?* "My name is Sava."

He then extended his hand.

"Nice to meet you."

Sava then took the man's hand and shook it.

"I wish I could say the same."

"I know this looks bad. But you don't need to worry. It won't last long"

"Liar. I'm going to be a slave for the rest of my life. Why wouldn't I have to worry?"

"I'm not lying. I'm not going to keep you as a slave."

"What?! Then, why did you bought me?!", asked Sava, utterly confused.

"I can't tell you here. I'll tell you once we get to my place, where we wont be heard by malicious ears."

He then turned to the men that where behind him.

"I'll take her. I trust you to keep the good job."

He then spoke to the hooded figure at his left.

"Okay, Satsuki. You'll lead them and we'll meet back at the rendezvous point, alright?"

"Yes, Leon.", said a female voice.

Leon and Sava then went to the gates and, once the gates were closed and they were at about 100 meters away Leon told Sava that now they could go calmly to where he would meet the others after they were done.

What is the rendezvous point?
