Scouring through his letters he found a few doctor's notices about injured children, it takes a moment but Dr.Q remembers there was that big bus crash on the outskirts of town where many lost their lives to a horrible accident. An while usually the Doctor was a bit cold he did feel for their families for the probable loss.
As he picks up the note to give it a further read he picks out noticing several boys were still in critical condition due to unknown causes. The hospital was calling out to him for his biomedical/ scientific knowledge to help understand a means to treat the patients. “Hmm I wonder…” the Doctor pondered looking at his serum before grinning maliciously. He takes his coat and glasses and begins to head off toward the hospital, eager to have both more test subjects and possibly save lives.
It wasnt long till the Doctor made it there, the hospital was peaceful as per usual in his peaceful town. Being the smartest man alive and owning everything at his beck and whim did had its benefits and he noticed a few people turning to look at him suspiciously.
However, their meager gaze posed no interest to him for he had to get down to business, walking towards the front desk he see’s a nurse on her phone. He chuckles knowing how droll it must be on a boring day but he taps the desk grabbing her attention. “Yes sir” She says with the classic customer service smile that she trained to do but the Doctor could see her flinch a bit taking in his menacing appearance.
“Hello..I have been called to look at the patients in facility Q” the Doctor tells her in a sing songy voice. Handing her the note as well as this was his favorite part, she looked at it curiously before looking up at him in utter disbelief.
“Yess yess I am..the magnificent Doctor Quazi Quazar Quantrain, charmed..im sure..” The doctor said with a smug smile and a few of his robots coming in through the door to add to the fanfare. Some of them wafting flags and other smaller ones were making small honks. Its really just a playful game he plays with this town's citizens because he predominantly lives in his lab and doesn't interact with people. However the few people he talks to regularly own most of the infrastructure because they are his friends and minions.
The nurse got up in a freight seeing the man , the myth and the town legend before she quickly calmed her nerves. “U-uh..yes..I’ll page the Chief Specialists now and tell him your coming up.” She says with a shaky finger.
One phone call filled with surprise and shock later the nurse lead him to the elevator and walked him up. She was terrified and also stunned in awe, never in her life she’d think she’d meet the legendary Doctor Q, she didnt even know whether to look or not. She gathered the courage to speak tho, and the two discussed the case much to the doctors delight.
The nurse imparts how bad it was, fatal wounds and some organs missing or failing for a few of the boys. Then there were burn marks , scars and loss of limbs in the other, all the while a few were suffering a bit from the mental trauma of seeing their friends wounded or the crash. The doctor stayed silent taking in the information and letting some of his smalbots jot all he needs to know down. He realized the case was much worse then he could’ve imagined and not to mention how some of the parents were also killed in the crash, but the doctor know what he would do for that issue so the children arent left homeless.
The elevator stops and the Doctor walks out down the hall, but not before turning to the nurse “Thank you ma’am, you have been most helpful to me for this case. When you get downstairs why dont you…check…something” The doctor said making a money-pinching sign with his fingers. She was confused but shrugged it off as she pulled out her phone and screamed out loud seeing the number of extra zero’s next to the original number in her account.
However now it was time to get down to business, the Chief Specialists walked up to the Doctor, sweat beading down his brown in nervousness but the eyebags told the Doctor he was working day and night to keep these kids alive. The sight of the Doctor was the sight of the iota of hope for these young lives and the Doctor could feel that pressure, but such pressure was easily waived off him for he had no time for second-guessing or doubts.
He see’s how the boys were doing , some hooked into machines to give them life support all the while all unconscious. He could see down the way one with the more mental trauma was screaming his lungs out in fear as his nightmare struck him again. Clear signs of tooth and clawing on his hands as if he was struggling to get out somewhere or to hide. Others with the missing limbs and burns were conscious but it was clear they were in so much pain.
“I have a solution..” The doctor spoke out to the Chief specialists who smiled at the hope, “But its pretty experimental, do I have your green light to do it?” the Doctor spoke even though he knew he had the final say. He wanted to see the thoughts of the Chief specialists, the men and women there looked hesitant some worried but they turned to the kids and found that. Anything was probably better than letting them suffer, and they didnt want to tell all those families they need to pull the plug. There was a unanimous decision to help and that brought a smile to the Doctors face.
“Good..bots..distribute the plan” the Doctor commands as his bots fly into the room and insert the serum into the boy’s body. The bout of screaming from the one that was traumatized ceased was the first sign of good and all of them had blissful sleeping faces.
“D-Did it work?!” One of the Specialist asked curious and checking the heart monitors.
