The restaurant Minh-Ho worked at part-time wasn’t far from where you two were at and after a short walk (mostly to save on gas), you find yourself at one of it’s outside tables and waited for her not realizing until too late that her delay is from getting overtime. The longer you waited the more you couldn’t help but fidget nervously in the skirt, still quite not as use to the skirt as you thought you were. After what felt like forever, Rogers broke the mutual silence you two had while killing time with your phones and said, “Sorry bro, I didn’t’ realize she was going to be this long. I have to bounce.” You gave him a nod and watch him head out. What bad timing too, since it was only three minutes after that Minh-Ho finally shows up.

Smiling at her, you ask, “Hey there, overtime?”

“Yeah, it was brutal but I could use the cash”

“So uh, Minh-Ho, what do you think of the new skirt?”

Minh-Ho stares at you quizzically for a moment and asks, “What do you mean?”

Doesn’t she notice? Or maybe you always wore this skirt in this reality so technically it wasn’t new. You look down to gesture to your skirt but find…
