This choice: Emerald talks about her team • Go Back... Leaning back in her seat, trying to ignore the way it creaked under her weight thanks to all the added mass she had to deal with, Emerald sighed as she thought how to best answer Weiss's questions.
It seemed like the best way to deal with it was with more half-truths. She needed to keep the conversation going until food arrived. Considering how jaw-dropping the quantity of food the two girls had ordered was, it would likely take longer than normal for the chefs to prepare all of it.
"Mercury is my partner. He's... kind of an ass, but he's good at fighting. He's hard to phase too, and he's good at keeping a level head even when things are getting crazy." Which described how he'd been for the last month in quarantine. That had sucked, having to put up with all of his jokes and taunts. Emerald swore that she must've heard every breast-related pun in the common language by now.
It also felt weird to be giving him compliments, even if they were only half-truths. Hopefully she wouldn't have to speak any further about him.
"Cinder's partner-" Emerald stopped herself from saying 'Neo,' as Torchwick's partner-in-crime was using an alias for her time at Beacon. Continuing on, Emerald recalled what little she A) knew about Neo, and B) what she liked about the woman.
"Neo's almost as annoying as Mercury, now that I'm stuck with these," she gave her giant-but-contained chest a light swat at those words. How someone who couldn't physically speak could be so obnoxious, she'd never know. At least Mercury was smart enough not to get handsy with her. Emerald was getting really irritated by all of the times Neo had copped a feel on her by now.
"But she's even better than him in a fight, and Cinder values her capabilities." That was all she had to say about Neo. The less said of the little psycho, the better.
"And then there's Cinder..." Emerald missed the way Weiss's eyebrows rose at the clear change in Emerald's tone.
------------------------
"Cinder is wonderful! She's such a great leader, and she's so determined in everything she does..." Emerald went on for several minutes, Weiss watching with wide-eyes but patiently not saying anything, even if the (to her) hero-worship was a little odd.
Well, it wasn't her concern. And according Emerald, her team leader Cinder had really helped her get through quarantine. The way Emerald was describing it made it sound like the mint-haired girl would've gone insane if she hadn't had Cinder around to make her feel better.
"Well... I'm glad that you have such a good leader. She sounds like a good person." Weiss remarked, earning a pleased nod from Emerald. Something told Weiss that she probably shouldn't inquire further about Emerald's other two teammates, considering how they'd apparently been harassing Emerald relentlessly over her gigantic chest.
Weiss had to remind herself that just because she was somewhat jealous of those colossal blimps attached to Emerald, the girl herself clearly didn't like them as much.
Weiss couldn't blame her new friend. Some people had changed more drastically than others during the epidemic (herself being a prime example,) but Emerald had, well... ballooned up in two particular areas...
Weiss winced internally. She felt bad for the other girl; while she was happy having grown so tall, being a practical amazon of a girl didn't come without it's share of troubles. And while some of the ladies at Beacon had grown bigger breasts over the course of the epidemic, too varying degrees of size, Emerald's growth overshadowed them all!
Honestly, the clothing troubles alone poor Emerald was having would probably require her to redo her entire wardrobe with expensive, custom-fit shirts and bras...
Maybe it was too forward of her, but... she could maybe pitch in there, couldn't she? Buying new clothes for someone was several steps up from paying for their food, but to be fair, she was Weiss freaking Schnee! Money was a non-factor when it came to stuff like buying clothes for her. That was part of the reason why she was taking all of this in-stride. Weiss knew that you couldn't just buy friends, but Blake, Ruby, and (to a lesser degree) Yang had all jumped at her offer to foot the bill for their updated wardrobes.
And Emerald needed new clothes even more badly than the rest of Weiss's team did. The mint-haired girl's redesigned wardrobe would cost a small fortune, and unless she wanted to be stuck wearing the same bra everyday, she'd have to empty her wallet and break her bank account to get more clothes. Unless Weiss offered to help out on that front...
But that was a topic for later. Weiss didn't want to come on too strong, after all. She and Emerald could enjoy there food first.
She was, to be honest, a little surprised that Emerald had ordered so much food. Weiss hoped that her friend didn't get sick from eating so much.
The desert at this restaurant was supposed to be heavenly, and Weiss hoped that Emerald would have room for some deluxe chocolate desserts, pastries, and other sweet delights after the main dishes had been served.
As Emerald and her waited for their humongous order to arrive, Weiss wondered if maybe there really was a kernel of truth to that old joke about how everything a woman ate went straight to her bust. Weiss hoped not, the last thing her potential new friend needed was to get even bustier. That, and she still couldn't help but feel jealous looking at the monstrously-huge orbs bulging out in front of her, covering part of the table even with Emerald leaning back in her seat!
---------------------
Emerald sighed, knowing that it was too late to back out of things now. She could here the restaurant staff scrambling around elsewhere in the restaurant- apparently the order she and Weiss had put in was so big that it would take several people to bring everything out! Truly, she'd dug her own grave, and the only way out was too eat her way out. The angel on her shoulder might've been gravely disappointed in her, but the devil on her other shoulder was praising her lack of shame.
Good thing Cinder wasn't here...
Hopefully there would be enough room at the table for everything even with her jumbo boobs taking up so much space. Emerald didn't want to have to learn how to balance plates or bowls on top of her chest...
