“F-Freeze!” the petite brunette shouted as she wheeled on you with something drawn in her hand.
You recognized her from the show and felt your face turn bright red from the misunderstanding. You’d wanted Ariel’s autograph, not her anger! Reaching for your autograph book in your back pocket to explain the confusion, you watched her whole body go rigid and her eyes go wide. “No you don’t!” she shouted as there was a flash of light and you clamped your eyes shut, waited for the pain of a bullet ripping through your body. But the sensation you felt was very different. It was like your whole body was…itchy? Painfully itchy! Itchy down to your bones and each muscle fiber as you gasped involuntarily and fell to the ground, grabbing at your skin to try and find some kind of relief.
“HOLY SHIT…I DID IT? OH CRAP, OH CRAP, OH CRAP,” Ariel’s voice thundered in your ears like you’d pressed your ear against the tv’s speaker at maximum volume!
“D-Did what?!” you shouted, your eyes opening to find the world all blurry. “I-I can’t see! What did you do to me?!” Groping around blindly on the floor, you felt the itching sensation start to subside as the grey blobs before you slowly began coming into focus. A wall stood before you made of thatched material woven together and climbing higher…and higher…and hig-
Flesh toned parapets lined the wall, decorated with swirling ridges and divots.
You saw her face high above you, looking down with disgust as the massive sandal in front of you began lifting off the ground. “GROSS! NO ONE SAID IT WOULD LOOK LIKE A BUG! EWW, EWW, EWW!” her voice boomed as a sandal the size of a small house began swinging in your direction, casting a black shadow of death along the ground. Your blood turned to ice as you flipped around in a panic, grabbing for some traction on the floor! The distant rumble of the con was drowned out over the roaring gusts of air from the sandal coming to crush you out of existence. Everything was bathed in black as you looked and saw the dirty treads hovering over you. They slowly began to descend. You heard some kind of primal scream leave your lips as your limbs flailed wildly in a pointless attempt to beat back to approaching foot….
And, again, the pain you were waiting for didn’t come.
Light swept back across the ground, the floor beneath you rumbling as the house settled just short of your minimized form.
High above, you heard Arial groan as she looked at the cowering thing just an inch in front of her toes. It would be SO easy to just squish it and be done with all of this. Easy, but wrong. Rolling her eyes, she holstered the ray she’d utilized and reached instead for her service weapon. The magazine easily slid out as she reached down and pinched the tiny, squirming thing between her fingers. “Gross, gross, gross! J-Just…Just wait in here till I can figure this out!” she said as she dropped the shrunken perp on top of the highest bullet in the mag and reloaded it into her pistol. Holstering the weapon, she wondered how the hell she was meant to deal with this one as you were imprisoned in the darkness of her handgun….
Clinging tightly to the cold, curved, copper surface of the bullet casing, you saw the world flying by as the massive woman brought you up towards a black, rectangular hole in the sky. Closing your eyes tight, you felt your ears pop as the rushing of air around you grew more intense in the tight enclosure!
CLICK~ CLUNK~
The metal cylinder jerked upwards as the round you were sitting on was prepped to be launched up, replacing the chambered round. Everything was metal and cold here, like you’d been placed in a fridge that was coming up to speed. You had nothing to do in the darkness…but wait. Wait and start feeling your way around to look for some way to squeeze through the pieces of machinery. If you couldn’t find a way out before Ariel took interest in you again…well, you didn’t want to know what the rookie would do with you if she was already willing to imprison you here on a whim….
