Eddy wanted to see how he now compared to everyone in the house, all of whom had only moments ago towered over him. Firstly, Eddy took the gun which now looked tiny in his much enlarged hand and tucked it inside the side pocket of his overalls in line with his stomach.
Douglas was still intent on trying to get his little boy back to his original size and the pocket containing the gun was now at a height he could reach. He tried to sneakily slowly reach his hand round the side of the pocket but Eddy noticed. He grabbed his dad’s arm and wagged the index finger of his other hand at him at him as if to say he wasn’t allowed to have the gun. Douglas momentarily tried to overpower his son in the hope of trying to grab the gun but it was meaningless as Eddy at his new size was far too strong for him. Douglas’ little attempt to overpower Eddy prompted another chuckle from the toddler.
Eddy then studied his dad’s hand, seeing how small it was compared to his own. “Daddy has teeny tiny hands” he said as he held his hand up against his father’s. The tips of Douglas’ fingers barely reach the extension of Eddy’s palm. Then he lined his sneaker up side by side with his dad’s foot. Ironically, Douglas looked like a child lining his foot up to his father’s and it was, only the other way round. This made Eddy laugh again.
Eddy noticed that the Velcro had come undone on his one sneaker. “Daddy do shoe” he commanded. Initially, Douglas didn’t take the request seriously, then Eddy stomped his foot down, “NOW” he shouted. That took everyone by surprise and struck a slight sense of fear into Ellen, Jack and Molly as they felt the vibrations on the ground. Douglas, whilst remaining calm, got down on his knees to tie the strap up to prevent Eddy from getting more angry. “All done little man” Douglas said as he got back to his feet. “I no little now, I am big boy” Eddy responded.
Eddy then looked over at Ellen, Jack and Molly stood by the dining table. He had decided the next person he was going to compare sizes to was…
