The question remains - how does Nora end up wearing diapers, either before, or after encountering Curie? Who may end up being the woman’s new caretaker, whether she wants it or not.
The reason Nora encounters Curie is due to the hidden section of Vault 81, and an outbreak of disease-ridden Mole-Rats. With only one cure to go around synthesised by Curie, if Nora has been bitten by one of the strange creatures, she will have a chose between curing herself, or curing Austin, a child infected by one of the creatures.
But what if things weren’t as simple as Nora being slightly weaker when infected with the mole-rat disease, perhaps there are more symptoms than the Vault-Dweller initially realised, including, but not limited to, complete and utter bladder/bowel incontinence? Curie, seeing this, decides Nora can’t be trusted to travel the wasteland alone in this state, and required a caretaker to go with her…
