Varehl Diamond-Fist, the Orc on a mission

    by: Unknown
The Pyknos Verge was just as beautiful as she had been told. Towering trees of various types, the soft echoing of birds deep in the woods, and there was even a small creek leading into the forest. It was true: this place was like a fairy tale.

But Varehl Diamond-Fist wasn't here to admire the beauty of the forest. No, the Orc had something else in mind.

Twirling her long, onyx-black braid in her hand, Varehl took out a large piece of parchment from her bag and looked at it. On it were the names of all the locations in Yndyre. Adinah, Roiling Bay, and the Overvektige Peaks had been crossed off. Pyknos Verge was next on the list.

"Alright, third's time the charm. I hope," Varehl said to herself. "Just show them you mean no harm, and you might get some info on Zela."

Zela. It had been 2 years and Varehl still hasn't found anything that could even hint as to where she disappeared too. But elves were supposed to be attuned to nature. Maybe somehow, that could give Varehl a hint as to what happened to her only friend. If not, well, she could always see if they would need her alchemy skills.

Replacing the parchment, Varehl sighed before entering the Verge. As she entered, she thought back to the last time she saw Zela.

"Look, the guy who sold me the map said it was true," Zela said as she and Varehl sat at their camp a few miles away from the Overvektige Peaks.

Zela had heard about cave near the Peaks that was supposed to contain some sort of naturally occuring spring with healing water. She had the idea to put some in several flasks and sell it at the nearest market. Convincing Varehl to come along, the two found the cave. Unfortunately, not only had the story been a complete lie, but a large nest of Harpies had taken the cave as their home, and they weren't quite welcoming to intruders. Varehl had to pay them in food as an apology.

"Well, because of that, we're short on food, and I'm pretty sure the harpies aren't going to welcome us back anytime soon," Varehl said.

Zela frowned. "Sorry," she said. She looked up at the moon. "Ah well. Maybe it's a good thing. Less food means less weight in my butt. And I never liked the Peaks anyway. Too cold."

Varehl stared at the naga, watching the moon bounce off her green scales. Zela's 6-foot tail was curled up under her, not even hiding her pear figure. Varehl looked back at her own rear. It was nowhere near as big, but Zela's eating habits were rubbing off on her a bit. Shaking her head, Varehl looked back at Zela.

"Tomorrow, I want to head back to Adinah. Maybe we can get some jobs and replace the food we-" Varehl started to say, before seeing her friend had fallen asleep. Chuckling, Varehl laid back. "Never mind, we'll talk in the morning." On that, she nodded off.

That had been the last time Varehl ever saw her friend. When she had woken up, Zela was gone. Varehl thought she had gone off to scout ahead, but she never returned. She thought maybe she went back up to apologize to the harpies again, but they said she never came back.

And thus, for 2 years, Varehl searched for her friend. Sometime during that, she had taken a liking, then an obsession, with a pear-shaped figure, and her own figure became one. If she wasn't looking for Zela, she was taking odd jobs, or just hanging around taverns.

Present Day

Having been walking for about a half-hour, Varehl stopped remembering and starting thinking on how to introduce herself to the elves. They had only just started to get used to humans, so she wasn't sure how they'd react to a 7 foot, green-skinned Orc with big muscles and a bigger butt.

Once she thought of her butt, her mind wandered a bit. Maybe there were some elven girls with pear-shapes. She had heard the elves were willowy, so she wondered how a pear shape would look on them. But she immediately shook those thoughts away. She had to stay focused. She needed any sort of clue on Zela.

Just then, she finally saw something. It was a person. And from the looks of it, it was indeed an elf. Smiling, Varehl began to approach the elf. As she got closer, she noticed it was a female elf, probably around her age, and was gathering... something, Varhel couldn't tell. And as she got closer still, Varehl noticed the elf did indeed have a slight but noticable pear shape to her.

Varehl cleared her throat, and the elf turned to look at her.

"Hello," Varehl began. "My name is Varehl. What is your name?"

The elf looked at Varehl in...
