You felt a bit uncomfortable in the grip of this pokemon. She seemed pretty nice and cordial...but was not afraid to threaten you, and you felt a little soreness coming from when she squeezed you. Sylveon kept smiling at you though, and for some reason, you started to feel a sense of calm overtake you, almost as if you had nothing to worry about.
"Sorry for stressing you out like that, but I need to be sure little human. Your kind usually comes here to take." The words, though blunt, did serve to further calm you down. You sighed before you heard footfalls returning, as Sylveon turned her attention away from you.
"Well I see you didn't kill him." The voice sounded joking, but you thought you heard a bit of relief in there too.
"Unfortunately." And that wasn't unexpected from that voice either.
You tried to turn, seeing the familiar sight of Glaceon and Espeon, and behind them Eevee and 4 other pokemon. A Leafeon, Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. All giants, and a few looking confused and one looking annoyed. The word 'overwhelming' came to mind, before you looked at Eevee, smiling warmly at you.
"So...it really is a tiny human?" The one that looked annoyed sounded off...the Flareon. She was eyeing you almost as intently as Espeon had. You felt yourself shiver a little before another jolt of calm coursed through you...that's when it occurred to you. Sylveon was using her feeler to try and calm you...you forgot that was something that she could do, but you were somewhat grateful for it at least letting you keep calm in this pretty intimidating environment.
"Yup! And he's okay to stay, right Sylveon?" You looked to see Eevee smiling before Sylveon nodded.
"Yes, he can stay with us, at least for now." Eevee's smile grew wider as she stepped forward and you felt yourself getting lowered to her back. Soon you were greeted by warm brown fur as you felt the ground beneath you shake a little, Eevee herself probably stepping aside happily. You opted to go to her lighter colored mane and settle there, hoping to make yourself less conspicuous.
"Hold on, Sylveon i'm saying this is a bad idea! He's trying to pull something, I know it!" The hate in her voice was evident from here. You didn't know if you COULD win her over...
"I gotta agree with Espy, Sylv just think about it, tiny or no, able to talk to us or not, it's a human. You know what his kind did to our parents." There was quite a bit of venom in her tone as she said that as well.
"Yes, and I also know that he's tiny, defenseless, has done nothing to harm, and has befriended our youngest. If we cast him out, he'd most likely die. Would you be okay with that?" Sylveon was blunt, curt, and certainly didn't sugar coat your precarious situation. You almost felt yourself shiver before Eevee tried to look back and give you a reassuring look.
"Relax Espy, relax Flare, if our little sis got herself a little pet then I doubt much harm could come of it." You looked to see that those words came from the Vaporeon. She sounded pretty relaxed about the whole thing, and looked carefree to boot. Though you didn't like the word 'pet' and a part of you dreaded it coming up.
"He ain't my pet, he's my bud! But he is totally harmless and nice." She was looking to Flare, who's look almost looked to soften. You felt yourself breath a sigh of relief. "Thanks Vee..." You said, feeling a bit better that she still didn't see you as a pet. You felt eyes on you as you looked up to see the Leafeon looking at you, curiosity dominating her expression. "He's...kinda cute." You heard her mutter softly. You locked eyes with her, feeling her looming presence bear down on you before she gave you the gentlest smile you thought you'd seen so far.
"I'm Leafeon, nice to meet you." She said, still quietly. You felt yourself calm down at the sight of this one. You looked up, waving.
"And i'm..." You thought of saying your name, but decided for now to stick with what Eevee...'Vee' gave you. "I guess i'm bud." You said, somewhat self deprecating in your tone. Leafeon didn't seem to notice as she smiled a bit brighter.
"He seems totally harmless Espy, Flare. I think it'll be okay." She was regarding her sisters as she nodded at you. "Don't worry, they'll understand eventually. Don't be scared." It was then she walked away and you noticed the intense look Espeon was still giving you.
"I mean, if he really is what you two think he is, then we can stomp, eat, shock, burn, freeze, rip apart, whatever to him. Ain't like a tiny thing like him could do anything about it. For now, he helped out our sis so just deal with him." That...was chilling. The final voice, and process of elimination left the Jolteon. She looked pretty unimpressed with all of this as she walked over to look at you. You didn't like her words at all...
"Rather blunt, and excessive. I think you were trying to scare him...but Jolteon's words hold a bit of truth. He can't do anything to us but we could do much to him, so best to keep in mind the power disparity if you feel threatened by the fact that he's a human." Sylveon really COULD be scary.
Glaceon and Leafeon almost looked uncomfortable with what had just been said, to say nothing of the expression Eevee must've had, but no one spoke up when Sylveon was talking.
"However, he has been nothing but nice to our little sister, nothing but polite, and I expect that you will all treat him with kindness and respect until given reason otherwise. We are not bad pokemon and I will not tolerate unwarranted attacks, nor will Umbreon." She eyed Espeon especially at this and you felt a pang of relief from that.
"...Does Umbreon even know about this?" It was Flareon speaking up and Sylveon nodded to her.
"Not yet, i'm going to talk to her, then bring Eevee and bud to talk to her together. I imagine that it'll go alright." Sylveon said. It was silent after this. No pokemon spoke, nor did you as Sylveon had laid bare just what was going to happen and how you were to be treated. You got a good feel for some of these pokemon at least. Eevee, Leafeon and Sylveon far and away being the preferred company here. Vaporeon and Glaceon didn't seem terrible either, though you couldn't get the best read on them. You DID want to avoid Espeon and Flareon, and more than likely Jolteon from her comment, whether intended to scare you silly or not. Eventually the silence was broken though, as you heard an annoyed, defeated sounding voice.
"...I'm gonna head out, I need some air." Espeon was walking away, and you noted Glaceon following.
"I also have places to be, and Croagunk wanted to talk anyway. Later." You assumed she wanted to get away from this awkward situation too.
Pretty soon after that most of the other pokemon left, with their own things to do, it was then that you were left in this part of the cave with Eevee...
