Chapter #37

What Games Do A.I Play?

by: Lover Of All Giantesses Author IconMail Icon
You were in a pretty good mood right now. Sure you got taken away from your life and apparently you are in Cyber Space... whatever that is.

But you have made a new giant friend. The girl was Sage and she was an A.I. A cute silver haired girl with a black robe on and she was big. She just wanted a friend and honestly... you want to be her friend as well.

"Wanna play a game then?" You suggest with a smile. "Could be fun!"

The girl was emotionless as she thought it over. "Quite odd, I assumed first you would have more questions about your current situation. Or maybe you would rather me decorate this endless void that we are in, why a game? Excuse me if this comes across as rude, but I believe that to be quite childish."

"S-Sage... you are a child." You chuckle at her. "At least you look like one. Come on this is what friends do, they play games." Plus she kind of needs it obviously. She's so analytical that maybe this will be good.

Sage thought it over, as she stood up hovering in the air. "Very well. However it will be a game of wit so I truly wish you are prepared."

"Can I pick the game?" You ask, as she nods. "Can I have... I don't know, three cups and a rock?"

She raised her hands in front of herself, like she's casting a spell and you get just that. Three red plastic cups and a small rock that can fit inside.

"What is this game?" She questioned as her memory banks weren't familiar.

"So the game is simple, with a cool trick. Cover your eyes!" You were actually a bit excited to show her. You weren't that smart a guy, so you aren't going to compete with her but you were excited to show the trick. She covered them, and you slip the rock under the left cup. "Okay open, and guess where it is!"

She looked down at you, "Very well... since the odds are 33.3 recurring %, it is simply guessing. I pick the middle." Sage said. "Is that the game?"

"Almost." You smile as you go to the right cup and push it over. Leaving two. "Now, I'm giving you the chance to either switch over or stay with your guess. What will you do Sage?"

She looked down, and was unamused. "There is no point in me changing my answer, the odds are the same. I pick the middle once again."

You push over the left and middle, as you bet Sage.

"I must say that was... underwhelming," Sage said as you guess it didn't seem impressive.

"Well actually, it's to show you a trick. You see when you made the first guess, it was a 33% chance of you picking the right one. However after I eliminate the right one, it became 50/50. Except not really. Technically, it is better to switch. You made your first choice when the odds were 33% while if you switched you would have made that guess when it was 50%. So technically it is better to switch, despite there being only two options."

You tried to impress her with a simple trick and Sage looked it over. Now you are realizing... how dumb you sounded! Why did you try to impress Sage with a stupid trick like this!

"I... like it."

"Huh?" Looking up, Sage had a smile on her face. She processed it and found it a cute little fact. "Thank you for showing it to me, truly~"

That was enough to melt your heart. She liked your stupid little gameshow trick. "I-I'm not a smart guy, so I get impressed by stupid stuff like that. I-I got another one, if you want it?"

She nodded and smiled.

"Well, there is this ship. Let's call it S.S Sage. Now each day on this wooden ship, one plank is removed and replaced with a new piece. Until finally the ship after a year is entirely made of new pieces."

"I see," She was more than intrigued.

"Now, let's take all of those old pieces that were replaced, and we make a second ship. An exact copy of the first, down to every single detail. Now... which is the real S.S Sage, and which is the imposter. The first ship, or the one made with the old parts?"

Sage thought it over, raising her head. "It's simple, the first one. As the documentation of the ship had it registered as the S.S Sage. The second ship doesn't have the Documents to verify itself with that name."

You stayed quiet. "Huh... I never thought about the legal side of it. Guess you are right, old parts or not it's the imposter."

She smiled at you agreeing. "I enjoyed that very much. can I pick the next game of Wit?" She asked and let her. You let her having no problem with it, when suddenly a giant board appeared and dropped in front.

"Woah, that was... wait..." You look at the black and white tiles, with the black and white pieces. "Chess?"

"Yes." She smiled floating down to sit. Crossing her legs on the either side. "I wish to face you. I have seen other humans playing this game, and I do desire to play."

"But... you'll win." NO CHANCE you can beat an A.I. You just make moves and don't think about it. While she's probably thinking about every single option.

"Please," She asked and... that alone got you on board.

"Okay, let's go." You say to her. "But get rid of the King Piece, I will be the king!"

She chuckled at the idea, and did just that replacing the piece. You jump in the spot and barely can see the board with all the pieces.

"Man, I'm cooked."

"Cooked? Are you on fire?" Sage asked as you laugh.

"Just some Lingo. I'll try to win but... guess we will see."
