Chapter #22An Great Adventure with the Spark Knight by: Writetime   You wake up, the sun shining down onto you as you are roused from your dreams. You weren't sure what was happening, but you started to wake up.
Your body didn't ache with its usual soreness, in fact it was the most rejuvenating sleep you had in a long while. Whatever you were laying on, it was far softer than your bed. It was soft and soothing and you smelled the scent of fresh grass. The wind blowing over you didn’t make much sense. You were not the type to sleep with the window open.
Waking up you look around, seeing the bright blue sky above you, with the large orange sun as well. There were some scattered clouds in the sky,but nothing out of the ordinary for a summer day.
You were in a clearing in the woods, opening your eyes and looking around you could see you were laying on grass, with shrubs and trees in front of you.
It stretched on for miles, like a endless seas of green spotted with clumps of brown. Something about it was different though, it seemed larger.
You rubbed your eyes to make sure that you were seeing things right and, it was bigger. Once you looked around, you truly understood that. Your mouth left agape at what you saw.
Behind you was a lake. one that was massive and gigantic! With some scattered houses, a giant hill behind it, a small pond as well. You heard the sound of birds chirping and smiled as you
You were so small, getting up you dust yourself off as you look ahead. It was hard making a call, but you would only be two inches tall in this forest.
You look at your surroundings for a little while, figuring you should make your way in. It was clear people have been here, you just needed to find them. Given your size it was going to be difficult, but you can hopefully do it. Taking a couple of steps forward, you notice a depression in the surface.
It had strange markings that lined in a some sort of pattern that you couldn't make out. That's when it hit you, you were in an enormous foot print. The being that had made this must be gigantic! You wondered what sort of being could be so large to make such a footstep.
Which is because you stepped in a footstep, a massive footstep! In the dirt the shape it was clear to see.
Taking a couple of steps forward, you follow the trail of them going through the dirt. Around a bend to a tree stump. You stopped to catch your breath. Then you heard a deep rumbling and you looked up to see a giant boot heading right towards you. Before you could try to run you heard a voice.
"You must be my new friend that Dodoco told me about!"
The boot stopped inches away from crushing you.
You felt a gust of wind as the boot was pulled back.
A large pair of fingers came down and gently picked you up.
You were lifted into the air, dangling above the palm of a hand the size of a house.
You looked up to see the face of a giant girl!
"Hi there! My name is Klee. I am the Spark Knight and we are going to be best friends!" Klee giggled, her smile beaming down at you.
Her voice was loud and booming, you couldn't believe the noise coming from her.
She spoke, a loud voice, as you were held in the air by her. Thankfully it didn't seem to hurt your ears,but you were befuddled by this wacky situation. Did this girl not have any common sense? You took in a deep breath and started to speak.
"Hello Klee, My name is (Y/N). You are a very kind person,but don't you think it's weird to be best friends with someone you just met?"
"No, I don't."
"Why is that?"
"Because we are gonna have a lot of fun together."
"I see." You say, your mouth hanging open as you're dumbfounded by her.
"In order to be friends with someone you have to spend lots of time with them. Since I'm going to keep you with me always, that means we will be bestest of friends!" Klee beamed, her cheeks puffed up.
You didn't know what to say. It was crazy that this girl had just picked you up. She didn't even know your name. She thought it was cute though, but she didn't have any clue who you were. Yet you found her joy and happiness infectious. It was a breath of fresh air to the cold and cynical life that you came from. "Well Klee - -"
"Dodoco likes you too! I think somewhere in the survival rules I'm supposed to have a buddy to travel with me and you would be perfect.
Klee smiled as she set you down on the stump and gazed at you. As you looked into Klee's shimmering eyes, you knew you couldn't say no to her request. She was clearly set on having you as her travel buddy and the fact she knew where you were wasn't just a fluke or chance.
Maybe if you went on an adventure with Klee, you could find the truth.
You had no idea what the "survival rules" were. What mattered was the girl who was now standing next to you.
She looked at you and said, "So (Y/N) do you wanna be my buddy?"
"Yes, yes I will."
"Yay, Dodoco was right, you are going to be a good friend! Let's go."
Klee reached out her hand and you climbed on. Her grip was gentle and light as she held you up.
Klee took the first steps, her boots pounding the ground.
"Let's go on an adventure together (Y/N)."
With that, the two of you left the forest, ready to head into a world of new and exciting possibilities.
You didn't know where the two of you were going, but you had a feeling it was somewhere special.
With the wind blowing in your hair and Klee's smiling face, the two of you ran along.
Your heart filled with hope as the two of you went off on a grand adventure.
