"Confirm."
Creeping back into your room, you could see the commercial, now simply called the "James" commercial, which now seemed to involve James directing the three men to a bucket full of Mountain Dew Kickstarts by crawling over to it rather than bringing them to them himself.
"Mou'ain Do?" James asked, as the three men got their Kickstarts out of the bucket, then the weird music from the Puppymonkeybaby ad started, only with James giggling and the men dancing.
"Mountain Dew Kickstart," the narrator at the end said over a shot of James playing with a can of the drink. "Dew. Juice. Caffeine." As the video ended, you went to look up 'mountain dew james commercial' and some more uploads and old coverage came up, but people didn't really seem to have as much of a reaction to it as they did with Puppymonkeybaby. You loved your little brother, but it seems like he didn't make for very good energy drink advertising.
"Puppymonkeybaby," you heard from downstairs, as you took the cue to go down there after slipping the remote into your pocket and, sure enough, there was Puppymonkeybaby, watching Mickey and the Roadster Racers with Heather next to him and your mother on the couch. You were curious about watching your strange new little brother and how your family treated him, and right as you pondered that, Heather noticed you.
"Hi, Michael!" Heather greeted.
"Puppymonkeybaby," Puppymonkeybaby said, looking at you.
"Hi," you greeted warmly, unsure what to say. "I just felt like watching," you said as you made your way over to the couch.
"Puppymonkeybaby." Puppymonkeybaby followed you as you sat down, before getting up and standing on your lap. "Puppy." He licked you, like in the ad. "Monkey." Lick. This was one of the strangest days of your life. "Baby." Lick. You didn't really mind it much, though, as Puppymonkeybaby walked back next to Heather, who giggled, while you got a tissue and wiped the drool off of your face while your younger siblings enjoyed the adventures of Disney's most famous characters.
"You know," your mother began whispering to you, "I'm a little worried shows like this might put gender stereotypes into their heads while Heather and Puppymonkeybaby growing up." You weren't sure you wanted to see a grown up Puppymonkeybaby, so you made a note to swap him back with James shortly. "I'm trying to teach them they can do whatever they want when they grow up, but I'm a bit worried since I'm staying home to take care of them but Dad is still working."
"I think they'll be fine, Mum," you replied, watching a little bit of the show. You hadn't seen much of it due to being a little out of the target demographic, but you'd caught glimpses. "Minnie and Daisy seem to be just as active as Mickey and Donald."
"Maybe I'm just being a bit anxious from not working," she said. "I know Mickey's always been the main one, but I just feel like Minnie should be in the name. Or Mickey should be a stay-at-home mum," she joked.
"Yeah, maybe," you said with a giggle, as your little conversation seemed to end, but you got another odd idea. You'd already swapped to turn your little brother into a bizarre creature from a commercial, why not swap your mother with Mickey Mouse? Maybe she'd be less worried if Mickey did more housework and she got to go racing and, depending on how exactly whatever swap you decided to make worked, maybe do other things Mickey did outside of this show. Then again, maybe you should just keep watching how Puppymonkeybaby was in the family now, that is what you came down here for and you'd already made a couple swaps, even if you did revert one of them.
