Chapter #61

61: Playing King

by: Lover Of All Giantesses Author IconMail Icon
You get grabbed by Umbreon, as you were unsure of what she meant. She was entirely serious when she called you her King, but you have a feeling that meant something that you didn’t expect. Umbreon carried you through the house, until she got to... Espeon’s room. The giantess opened it up, and of course you look your way in. She was sitting there, waiting for Umbreon to return with you.

“Good you have him, now we can play.”

The giantess was sitting in front of the table in the middle of the room, with a chair adjacent to her.

More importantly was what was between them, and you kind of knew what it was.

“I-Is this chess?” You ask them as they look down to you confused. “Or... not?”

“It’s called Conquer.” Umbreon filled you in. “And you will be playing the roll of my King.” The dark sister walked on the other side of the table and placed you down on the square. You landed down at the back, Umbreon’s giant frame behind you and pieces in front of you.

“Uh... this looks exactly like Chess.” You had to comment. Then again, Marco Polo was twisted around to Minun Plusle, so maybe it’s just a mix in the name. All the pieces around you were black, and looked very much the same in design. A metal face. Some were bigger than others, some were tall, some were small. Some where even sitting. The one next to you was different though. It looked like a giant woman, with a black dress on and a bit of a goth look on her face. Twice your height though.

“You will be my Kingambit, the one holding the Leader’s Crest, if you lose, I lose.”

“Got it.” You say. “Where’s the actual piece.”

“I lent Sylveon the game once.” Espeon filled in, as that was all you needed to know. “And you can also play as Umbreon’s good luck charm, as she will need it.”

“Our score is tied, and this match decides it.” Umbreon filled you in. “Now stand there.”

“O-Oh got it.” You say giving her a nod. “So... I’m just a piece?”

“A quiet one hopefully.” Espeon said as she adjusted her glasses. She was white, so she moves first. Putting a pawn forward in the middle column.

The sister’s didn’t speak, as Umbreon did the same. They put all of their pieces around, as clearly this was something they were use to. You just stand there, awkwardly waiting. You were never good at chess, and from your angle it’s not like you can really make out any of the details. You just look at Umbreon who was behind you, and Espeon on the other side. Like dueling giants, and you were just a soldier on the battlefield.

You were just waiting around, until suddenly. “King, move forward diagonally.” Umbreon informed you.

“O-Oh, finally get to do something.” You admit up with a joke, but neither of them laughed. You go diagonal forward and-”

“Wrong. Way.” She seemed annoyed, oh boy. You go to the other side, just to try to make her happy.

“H-Here.”

“Yes, there.” Maybe you should be quiet.

“Quite the mistake dear sister.” Espeon said, as she grabbed a piece from her side and put it adjacent to you. You think you know the position, it was a Bishop!

“Check.” She informed her sister with a smile.

“I think it is you who made a mistake sister.” She grabbed that Queen that was next to you, the tall black one in the dress. She then brought it forward and took down that Bishop, leaving you safe.

Or so you thought. “It is your mistake sister. While moving your Gothitelle, you have let my Gardevoir come forward.” Not understanding what that meant, Espeon grabbed a figure on her side and brought it forward to you.

You stood your ground, but it was hard as the figure got placed right in front of you. She was like the Queen on Umbreon’s side, only a white dress and a more pretty looking face rather than goth.

“Check.” Espeon said with a confident smile.

“He took me off of my game.” Umbreon commented as you feel like this was your fault.

And like that, Umbreon was on the back foot the entire game! She kept trying to get you out, but she was loses pieces and she was getting chased. She did get a couple of pieces, but Espeon got more.

The board getting more and more exposed as you ran around the place. Eventually you looked around, it was now just barren. With final sweep, Espeon leaned back in her chair. The giant dressed figure in front of you.

“Checkmate.”

Umbreon looked over the board, and she confirmed it. She has loss.

“S-Sorry.” You say as you failed as her king, and you don’t want her to feel bad.

“Don’t blame yourself, it wasn’t your fault.” Espeon chuckled. “It’s her own fault for challenging a Psychic Pokemon.”

“T-That’s a bit of an ego Espeon.” You comment from the table. Espeon didn’t care as she lifted herself up.

“Now, loser picks up, and I believe I claim my prize Espeon.” You weren’t sure what this prize was, until a hand reached for you. You get gripped by her fingers as you struggle around.

“W-What’s going on, wait... I’m the prize!”

“It was decided before the match begun.” Espeon as you were speechless.

“I-I feel like I should of been, asked about this!” If you were going to be put up a prize, you would like to know! Umbreon didn’t say anything, she just packed up the board and left her room. Espeon smiling to her sister, as she loves nothing more than winning.

Umbreon had her head hung low, before her eyes connected with yours.

“Tonight.”

And like that, she left. You paused, as you weren’t sure if that was a threat or not for failing her. Y-You hope it isn’t!
