Chapter #8What's red, black and blue? by: Supmcsup   Naofumi held his breath unsure what the next move was going to be, he was still unbelievablely confused at the moment, then suddenly
"Get out of my daughter's body you demon!" The old man yelled before surprisingly for his apparent age threw a fast punch to Naofumi's face sending him flying off the bed
It also surprised Naofumi on how much it hurt, he wasn't expecting the old man to pack a wallop
(A/N I am not sure if Trash could make Naofumi feel pain but simply for story purposes I am gonna say yes)
"Ack!" Naofumi as his new body hit the floor...brain still trying to catch up to what was happening, which was hampered even more as the old man came to his prone body a dealt a few swift kicks to his stomach, knocking the air out of Naofumi's lungs
"Get out! You ruined my family once! I won't let it happen again!" The red faced king yelled out
The nuns which were standing there gave a gasps of shock as they watched king kick his daughter, notably the one most believed as his favorite, there was a few more layers to their shock, such as him even hurting a female in general, as all in Melromarc knew were in the class system higher up then men.
Though they understood that this person who appeared to be their princess wasn't it was just the shield devil wearing her skin, it still gave the nuns shock at the sight, so much so that most of the nuns ran out of the room at the sight while the others left to simply give the king privacy as he desperately tried to get his daughter back
"P-Plea-" Naofumi tried to get a few words out as the king briefly stopped, to take some breaths of air, his old body not taking too kindly on his recent moment spree, but before Naofumi could get a word in the king continued kicking him
"Aultcray! What in the Three Heroes are you doing!?" Suddenly an older but panicked voice came from the door, making the king stop and turn around, finding The Pope at the entrance with the three heroes behind him for a brief second before the king turned around Naofumi swore he saw a small smirk on The Pope's face, but Naofumi simply put it down as seeing things becuase of his injuries
The King's eyes widdened almost as if something finally dawned on him...and a few tears dropped from his face
"What did...I just do?" He said quietly before quickly looking back at Naofumi on the ground who was trying to suck in as much air as possible, while his cheek was covered in a large bruise, and The king feared that similar bruising was on more of his daughter's body
"Aultcray, I'll heal her up, and as I freind, I would recommend that you try to calm down maybe go to your bedroom and lie down, I'll also try to figure out what happened to your daughter and if there's anything I can do to fix it" The Pope said with a thin grandfatherly smile and calm, and relaxing tone as he spoke
"Please Balamus, if there's something you can do, do it" The King said before leaving his eyes to floor, sunken into his face
The Pope quickly walked over to Naofumi,
"Now to deal with you," the man said with a small shake before he raised his hand did a quick chant, most of which Naofumi couldn't pick up, before the man's hand turned a bright green and he started moving it around Naofumi's body
"Now that the healing is done, what to do with you? I know there's no way for you to be fixed that's just the simple truth, well until you finish the waves" The grandfatherly man spoke to himself
"Ah I guess we just have to convince your father to let you, out and do a heroes adventure so you can be prepared for the wave...as besides beating the waves I see no other way for the princess to return" The man said with slight chuckle before he stood up and helped Naofumi's up
"So I guess I have to do that tomorrow when he's a bit more calm, which I geuss works as that's when you three are leaving, correct?" He asked the three heroes
"Yeah that's what the king said before he ran off here" The spear user told the pope but when he said "king" it had an edge to it, almost mocking it
"Ah, ah good good, oh I should explain things to you, after all this must all be terrifying confusing to you" The Pope said with a small smile
And with that the pope began explaining the situation with the waves, status magic to Naofumi, who slowly took it in
"I think that's all, I'll be going now, if you have any more questions, don't be afraid to ask me," The Pope said leaving the four of them
Naofumi, was tired at this point, everything that happened to him so far drained him...and he wished all to be a dream but the pain he felt earlier was to real...as he thought this he got up his now comfy bed and unknowingly fell alseep
Leaving the three heroes to themselves where they quickly talked to themselves
Where they talked how

Like this was to their game (Reality change where in their game there is an NPC that is the Shield hero [or even has a similar backstory to Naofumi's when he tells them])
Option 2
How strange the game the getting compared to their games (normal timeline basically)
 indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
