"Excellent!" Melissa smiled, "I guess I won't need that banner anymore!"

Melona nodded, fishing a few coppers out of her coin purse. She wasn't exactly a gambler, but it was difficult enough for her to afford one decent potion, the fact that she could buy a whole case of them for less than the price of one potion was more than enough to override her worry. As disciplined as she tried to be with her money, not even she could resist the allure of a clearance sale. Once the potions were loaded into a milk crate and given to Melona, she made her way back to her dorm, Melissa smiling politely as she walked out. Only when Melona was out the door did her expression falter.

"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea..." Melissa muttered to herself. Those potions had been made back in her early career as an alchemist, back when she was far more willing to take big risks with her recipes. She couldn't remember ever making anything too dangerous, but her memory of those days was a little spotty due to the amount of lab accidents she had been prone to causing, and it was possible that she'd simply forgotten making anything unstable. She shook the thought out of her head. Even in her more unhinged days she had still never desired to make anything with deliberately harmful effects. Plus those potions were fairly old, and thusly would have lost a lot of potency over time.

"It'll be fine..." Melissa reassured herself as the slithered back towards the banner, pulling it down, "What's the worst that could happen?"

---------

Melona rolled her shoulders as she hefted the crate back towards campus. It wasn't terribly heavy, but it was heavy enough that it was beginning to wear on her arms. Still, she was almost back. She just needed to push herself a little further...
