It was fairly early in Santalune City, so much so that stores were only recently opened, and Clemont was grabbing so ingredients to cook Ash and Bonnie some breakfast.
As he was headed back to Route 4, where they slept because of how dark it had gotten, he stumbled across a pawn shop with a Pokéflute in the window. From its design, he suspected it was early 1300s. Thankfully, the shop owner wasn't aware of that, letting him get it for a measly 2,300.
Upon returning to the campsite, he started up his portable oven and hob (which thankfully didn't explode this time) to begin cooking.
"What smells so good?" Bonnie asked after a few minutes, as she came from the woods with a handful of berries.
"Sausage, beans, and eggs. I thought we could have a cooked breakfast."
"Oh, wow!" Ash came rushing out of his tent with Pikachu in tow.
