The doctor suggests a crazy idea

Couple ideas of what the doctor suggest:

Option 1: Attempt to split one of the Johnson family member’s brains in half. Doing so, the doctor hopes that the two halves will regrow and form two complete brains. Doing so, Mark’s new brain either slowly learns to act like the original Mark or becomes a carbon copy of the person who donated their half.

Option 2: The doctor suggests that Mark’s body could be an upgrade for someone and he could swap one of the Johnson’s brains into Mark’s body. By doing so, the family member would be giving up their original body which could either be used for someone else or the body just dies without a brain.
