Mass Effect

In the Mass Effect Universe, there are two main storylines: the Original Trilogy with Commander Shepard (male or female) finding out about the Reapers and their mission to kill off or convert any species over a certain technological level, so they try to stop them, thus saving the Galaxy.

On the other hand, there is Scott or Sara Ryder, who becomes the Pathfinder for the human settlers to the Andromeda Galaxy after their father dies. As the First Pathfinder to make it to the Andromeda Initiative's Hub, they become the de facto leader of the Pathfinders to help the program establish livable planets, as well as facing off against the mysterious Kett natives of their new home.
