Matt, feeling tired and a little achy, but thrilled from the wrestling action, trails along beside Glenndon, his new wrestling friend. Ahead of him Percy and Brad and a host of other boys from the wrestling practice are laughing and kidding around, as they all head to the cafe for the late lunch reserved for those boys who have a sports practice over the noon hour. Matt is sore but happy - he'd hit the mat a few times while he figured out some of the holds and moves, and Glenndon, a year younger and maybe 30 or 40 pounds lighter than Matt, had been happy to help him learn. It was great to feel like a part of the team, and Matt was inspired by the size and athleticism of the other huge boys on the wrestling team.
As they approached the cafe, they saw a bunch of guys with wet hair coming from the other side - the swimmers! Matt wondered which one of them was Jeremy, but was having too much fun with Glenndon and the other 8s and 9s to actually ask.
In the cafe, the teams went through the serving line and then sat together. As the famished teenage hogs fell to their feed, the room went mostly silent. Soon, the fastest eaters were up and getting refills. Glenndon challenged Matt to see who could eat the most, and the two boys went back and forth several times for more food. Soon, though, Matt called a halt, leaving Glenndon to make one last trip to the dessert bar.
Back up in B-15, Matt debates unpacking, but decides to lie down for a couple of minutes first. He pulls out his phone and has just started a new level when there's a shadow darkening the door. "Hi, I'm Jeremy," says a new voice, and Matt looks over to take in his new roommate. Jeremy is...
