Joe comes out of the back and approaches the counter, and as he gets closer you can see that he's a big man - boy is he big! He's an inch or so taller than your dad, and at least as big around, clad in white pants and white t-shirt, with a huge white apron tied around his belly and a white hair-net. He looks a little bit like a human snowman.
"So, Rob, is this your son you were telling me about?" asks Joe, sticking out an enormous, floury hand to your Dad. They shake and he turns to offer you his hand as well. You take it, trying not to wince as he grips you powerfully.
"Yes, Joe. He needs a job, and I heard you were looking for someone to train."
"Yep," replies Joe. "My last Saturday guy went off to school out of state, and I need a replacement. He's not as big as you - will he do?"
"Yes, well, sometimes it takes a while for a boy to come into his growth," your dad replies. "Maybe working in the bakery will bring it on."
"Yes, well, I give everyone a fair trial," replied Joe. "And he does come with your recommendation."
"Yes, he does. He's not as big as his brother, but he's reliable. (insert your name here), I'll leave you with Joe, I'll see you at four this afternoon."
Your dad turns and walks out of the bakery. Joe says to you,
