Chapter #9

A Whole New Perspective over Dinner

“Oh really?” Dratina sat briefly in disbelief. Sure, this Lugia had such an air of joviality to herself, seemingly in spite of her large weight. But to think that she would mention such a thing to essentially a stranger so nonchalantly caught Dratina a bit off guard.

“Oh, I didn’t mean much of it.” The Lugia quickly responded in tow. “You seem like a nice girl, and I just felt like I could really open up to you. Besides, I do think a little extra weight could suit you.” The Lugia proceeded to grab a handful of her own flab and wink towards Dratina.

“Uh…I-I’m not r-really sure…” Dratina’s face was clouded with a scarlet hue. She had to admit, the thought of being any fatter than she already was discomforted her. The thoughts of her slowly cascading weight had swirled around inside her head on the bus ride over, and the Lugia bringing it back up returned herself to a similar state of mind. However, the earnestness and sincerity by which she suggested such a change filled Dratina with a whole array of conflicting emotions. It was something she had to at the very least mull over.

It was at that moment, amongst the unexpectedly pleasant, albeit slightly awkward, conversation Dratina found herself in that one of the waiters made their way over to the table with a metal cloche, opening it towards the pair of guests, and immediately an overwhelmingly divine aroma. The waiter delicately placed the large plate between them, and then sauntered back in the direction of the kitchen.

“Well, I don’t want to be too forthcoming… I’m quite hungry anyways…” The Lugia trailed off the end of her sentence as it seemed she became entranced by the meal before the pair. She started grabbing pieces of the meal onto her own plate, and began happily munching away. Dratina took what she thought was a modestly sized dish, but as she began to absentmindedly eat, her thoughts much more occupied with the Lugia’s words, she found herself becoming much more full than she was expecting. Still, Dratina finished off what was on her plate, but the dull discomfort of a distended stomach broke her trance.

“Jeez, that food was really filling…” Dratina looked over at the Lugia, who was still eating away, clearly having taken more food than she had.

“Yeah, but ish really good…” The Lugia spoke between bites. It was many more minutes before she seemed satisfied with what she had eaten, and at that point a good deal of the dinner set before them had disappeared into the two morphs’ stomachs.

“Ah, that really hit the spot!” The Lugia sat back in her chair as she expelled a puff of air in relief. Her stomach stuck out even further than it did when she sat down, its heft pushing into the table.

“And it looked like you really enjoyed yourself…” The Lugia beckoned towards Dratina’s packed stomach riding up her green shirt. Dratina tried pulling it back over, but found it slowly roll upwards once again.

“D-damn, I guess I ate a bit too much…” Dratina once again turned beet red.

“Don’t be embarrassed! This place is for you to let loose a little bit! You just gotta make sure you’re enjoying yourself.”

“I mean, I guess you’re probably right…” Dratina sighed in response.

“I SHOULD probably get going now, I have a couple things I want to get done before tomorrow. Do you want to meet back here tomorrow to grab breakfast?” The Lugia looked at Dratina eagerly waiting for a response.

“Sure. It’s not like I have any other plans.” Dratina chuckled to herself.

As the pair stood up and got ready to head their separate ways, Dratina was struck with a realization.

“Wait, I just realized I never asked for your name.” Dratina was a bit embarrassed at the complete lapse in politeness.

“Oh, don’t worry about it. It’s Lyla.” The Lugia looked completely unconcerned with the inquiry as she waddled away in the complete opposite direction of Dratina’s room.

Now that she was left to her own devices, Dratina thought it best to…
