The Newsfeed

Your direct link to the Newsfeed is in the left sidebar, fourth from the top. Click on the link, to get on the Newsfeed.

The Personal Newsfeed is what you see as a default. It shows you your own contributions and those of people that you follow.

The Community Newsfeed shows you posts by everyone.

Above the Newsfeed, there is a little text window that says: "Share what's happening with you..." Click on that to make it larger. As soon as you start typing, you will see the text appear above the text box as a preview.

You can embellish your text with fonts, colors, and more by using the little boxed commands above the text box. If you want to, you can add a GIF. The last command box on the right opens up to give you thousands of GIFs to insert so that your Newsfeed post becomes more visually attractive or just stands out more.

Every Newsfeed post is rated 18+ by default. Make sure to increase the rating with the drop down menu if you want to post something that is rated GC or XGC. In the same way, if you are posting something that can be seen by anyone regardless of age and is not offensive, you can use the dropdown menu to lower the rating to E, ASR, or 13+.

Once you are satisfied with the looks of your Newsfeed post and have ensured that it is rated appropriately, it's time to click that Post Note button. Now your note is published and everyone can see it on the Community Newsfeed.

A few more considerations when posting on the Newsfeed:
Be courteous to everyone and everyone will be courteous in return.
If you want to ask for reviews of something you wrote, it helps a lot if you add a direct link to it.

How often do you post on the Newsfeed? How often do you reply to posts there?
