Shall I include them or not?

Poll Question:
When it comes to Pokémon Adventure, I am defiantly someone who knows almost nothing about it. I'm reading it as I go, but it's likely that I'll be reading ahead just to make the opening chapters.

This had me wonder about if I should give some information about certain details at the start of each arc, or should I make the chapters as I normally would?

Examples of what I would include would be:
1st arc) Red and Blue didn't grow up together and don't know each other.
2nd arc) Yellow is a girl who has a crush on Red, but pretends to be a boy.
Poll Options:
      Give a few details for those not familiar.
      Don't give details because if you're adding, you should know.
