What would happen with Bede and Marnie?

Poll Question:
With "Pokéflute Playtime: New Game+" Open in new Window. being based on Let's Go, I want to remake the stories while also having the main characters show up as experienced Trainers.

With that said, what should I do with Bede and Marnie? Bede's desire to please Rose is important to the story, and Marnie's the main reason Team Yell exist.

Should I keep them in the story, or replace them with new characters and have the two return as Gym Leaders?
