A war poem for the avariels that I created for my story.

Fight! Defend our land!
Enemies abound
Left and right
Friends and foes fall alike
Weary faces forever scared
Death to those who oppose us
Fight! Defend our land!
Hopes and dreams die
New are born
Our young ones fall
The old remain
Fight! Defend our land!
Our homes and families
Cry out their pain
As they watch the fight
Loss, loss, loss
Is all war is
Gain what?
More land enemies vanquished
At what cost?
Fight! Defend our land!
