To the Darkness

Just a poem i'm working on.

Bitter poison bare me away
past the sunlit sorrows of the coming day
let us not linger here
in this land of light
as we pass away to the endless night
ethereal darkness hold me tight
that I might forget the malignant sun's light
merciful death take from me
this memory of love and drown it in your starless seas
bitter poison
my sweet reprise
let us escape the coming dawn's rise
